I didn't do stupid s**t that got anyone hurt when I was 21. Not even when I was like 17. Keeping control of your grown-ass man body is a skill you should be learning in middle school. Did you feel this way when Jokic hurt Markieff Morris? I did feel like Jokic should have kept control of his grown-ass man body, and I also recognized it was a "don't start none, won't be none" circumstance where Morris instigated, so they were both in the wrong. In this situation, Antman is in the wrong, and there's not even a "both sides" to it where anyone could argue either of the women he hit with the chair had done anything provocative or instigating.

The chair throwing surprised me because it’s like - dude, did you seriously think you guys will win in 7? I didn’t like that he didn’t shake hands in the end. Zero reason to be a sore loser. Still love him as a player - can’t say I don’t - but an “adult” needs to intervene there. No leadership on that team.

In addition, there was his disrespectful behavior at the post-game presser. That’s not a “heat of the moment” situation.

You really have to remind us? I’m rooting for MPJ to play well because its good for the Nuggets and for us. But he’s just not that good. He is a very good but not actually elite shooter. Elite is the bench player (who was basically dumped by the Clippers) Luke Kennard, whose slash line this season was 49/49/95, and the Clippers didn’t value him very highly even with clearly better shooting than MPJ. Other than being a very good but not actually elite shooter (truly “elite” shooters shoot it better than Porter’s 80% on FTs), Porter ranges between poor and average at every other aspect of basketball at this level.. Oh, and with huge injury risk. Oh, and a strangely impassive demeanor that seems to keep him at arms length from his teammates from an emotional and chemistry level. Its difficult to get Porter open consistently against playoff level defenses because his back injuries have made it difficult for him to get moving or change direction quickly. Unless you set really good screens for him, even average defenders are able to stick to him like glue. Expectations about the size of his role need to be tempered by that. If you don't consider MPJ to be an elite shooter, I can't have this conversation with you. There are many things that Porter does extremely well. He is not poor or average at everything other than shooting. As my good friend GBG has said, you have a bias against Porter for some weird reason? Is he an elite player? No. Is he an elite shooter? Absolutely. Do I think MPJ would average 20 PPG in his sleep if he was utilized more as a Nugget? Yes. With very high efficiency.

Not elite numbers below:
Leaving Porter Jr. open from deep is essentially a death sentence. He’s the league leader in wide-open three-point percentage at a ridiculous 54.8 percent, which NBA.com qualifies as when a defender is 6 feet away or further from the player shooting the basketball.
It helps that he’s absolutely lethal when spotting up, knocking down 43.9 percent of his 5.4 catch-and-shoot threes, a top-six mark among players that have taken at least three catch-and-shoots per game. If we narrow that down even further to players that are especially high volume off the catch and average at least five catch-and-shoots, only Al Horford is ahead of Mike at 44.8 percen

I stil think they/he has the injury under control. Jokic seems like a guy that knows his body. And they wouldnt run this tight rotation if they didnt have faith in Jokic recovery I don't know. Only info I got is that its serious and made Nuggets think to sit him. what actual injury is, no idea. how much affect his shooting/passing, don't know. all I know it does bother him and he has to keep his bandage tight. might be sprain that will cool down and he will be able to play more freely. might be something with bones, and tight bandages keep those in place. might be that guy with info just make s**t up. I saw footage, so its publicly said... journalist who was speaking with him is my good friend, when I asked him to clarify, he said he didn't poke into it... he is also someone who has good connections in Nuggets and didn't heard anything, so whatever it is, Nuggets are keeping it under the radar, cause I will occasionally hear things that are "unofficial", meaning no words about it anywhere, and there is nothing on Jokic's wrist. what I can tell you, Jokic will play and speak nothing about it during playoffs. only question is, how much it bothers him and affects his shooting/passing...

The thing about his wrist is...why the f**k would Malone play him up 30 if that was the case? That's why I don't buy that it's serious.

But for now I’m just going to root for Porter to stay healthy and play well.

How many games this season did he attempt 8 3's? He did it in back to back games. The FT's were concerning but he shot them fine the last game. Even shooting overall. We've all seen Jokic go passive mode. He was very aggressive the last 2 games and it would be kind of strange for him to go into full on score mode with a busted up wrist. He was dominant on the glass as well and feels unrealistic for that to happen vs the Wolves with a busted up wrist. Certainly could be true but I'll start getting concerned when you see him pass up shots to pass the ball or you see him being weak on the glass.

Oh, and a strangely impassive demeanor that seems to keep him at arms length from his teammates from an emotional and chemistry level. This is the part that makes me think you can’t analyze MPJ objectively or clearly. For some reason, your dislike for him has become a personal vendetta and detached from the reality of this player. Do the “Hey Mike!” or “MIke, Mike, Mike” cheers in locker room after a clutch game by him seem like bad chemistry? Does this clip show MPJ at arm’s length from an emotional and chemistry level? I think Jokic’s answer would be NO.

The Nuggets have good leadership. And a PR department. The nuggets have incredible team chemistry. That’s for real. The guys on the team hang out a lot with each other.

The Nuggets have good leadership. And a PR department. And some delusional fans with personal vendettas A person with a vendetta is one who is taking actions of vengeance against another person or family in response to the latter’s prior actions. Porter doesn’t know me; I don’t know him; we’ve never interacted in any way and never meaningfully will (it is conceivable although not likely there will be some “good game (or season) Mike” in the future). There’s no “vendetta.” I have opinions about Porter and his 4 year/$150 mil minimum guaranteed contract (5 years/$179 mil if he is not waived before the 26-27 season or hits any of several contingencies). I suspect at least some of my opinions are shared by people around the league, as I don’t think teams are calling/emailing/sending messages via carrier pigeon to reserve their places to get into a bidding war with Calvin Booth in an effort to pry Porter away from the Nuggets. For now, I hope Porter crushes it, and in the late stages of a clinching game 5 win at Ball Arena, eggs on the crowd and talks some smack to the Suns while the Nuggets send them packing. That would be great. Go Mike!
