i’m a little worried about Ayton guarding Jokic, he’s not dumb enough to foul out game after game like Nurk. MPJ might have a rough series against all their wing defenders. My hope is that Gordon and Facu can have a good defensive series against their two guards.

Not as good offensively as Portland but way better defensively.
Need Barton for this series.

I think we matchup with Suns -- pretty well. Put AG on Booker and we got this.
Nuggets in 4
Edit: I can't vote in the poll for some reason

The more I examine the on-paper matchups in this series, the more I love our chances.
I always evaluate Western teams by how much they can shoot you out of the gym. PDX, as I had mentioned, have 3 players who can do that - CJ, Dame and Powell.... to some degree Melo and Simmons.
Phoenix has... two. Booker and CP3. That's about it. Maybe you add Payne to that list? But that's it. If AG is on Booker, then PHX's firepower dwindles fast.
I agree that PHX is better on defense. For that matter, I really hope we start Monte. We need the 2-man game with Jokic - it was the difference in tonight's game at Portland. I hope Malone took notes. I love Facu, but the 2-man game needs priority.
I worry we don't have enough firepower to win the series - but PHX doesn't have much firepower either, especially with an injurious chris paul.
Nothing comes easy in the west - so I'm not saying we win or that it'll be easy - but I really love our chances.
Lastly - I'm sending good energy to the Clippers. Don't want to think ahead (but can't help it) but amongst Dallas, Utah and LA, I like our chances against the Clippers the most.

Like the Lakers and Nets, the Clippers would get the benefit of one-sided officiating. For some strange reason, Utah gets a friendly whistle against us too.

dont sleep on Bridges shooting ability Bridges can shoot - but I think he has playoff nerves, due to it being his first time. The most he cracked against the Lakers was 13. He's also been trending down as the season has gone on. He's a damn good player. But when I say "shoot us out of the gym" I mean someone who can put down 25 points or more with ease - I don't see Bridges doing that in this series.

Mostly true - except - they didn't get a generous whistle in the bubble when we beat them. Sooooo..... I'm cheering for the Clips.

If we can still make it to the finals with THIS team we should look extremely forward to the next 2-3 years

However, CP3 has been hurting and is not known for his durability.

dont sleep on Bridges shooting ability I think a pretty clear pivot point is the MPJ/Bridges matchup because Bridges is an elite 3/D player. The obvious one is Jokic vs Ayton and a sneaky one is Cam Payne vs Facu or Monte.

Suns are a better team but I like our chances if we can drag the series out and avoid a quick knockout. just like Ali vs Foreman, Ayton will eventually lose his legs going up against Jokic. CP3 is still dealing with his shoulder injury and Barton/Dozier might surprise us and make an appearance.
