I don’t see the clippers lasting. Kawhi, Beverley, PG all have suspect histories with injuries. I’m with scooter. They don’t scare me. Not saying they’re not good - I’m convinced the west finals rep is either us, the jazz or clippers - and I like our chances. The Clippers’ duh88 is saying, “I don’t see the Nuggets lasting. Jokic is out of shape and a big man like that eventually gets hurt. They had a ton of injuries last year which have reduced the effectiveness of guys like Harris and Barton. Murray is so inconsistent and young. Millsap is getting so old, they have to rest him in their second game‘s fourth quarter and OT. They don’t scare me.” And you know what? Both duhs might be right. Whoever is healthiest and luckiest come playoff time will go further. ClippersDuh is also crying about a loss to the Suns tonight. NuggetsDuh isn’t.

No idea why anyone is talking about any of this when the season just started. Trades will be made, injuries happen, etc.
All I'll say is...Clippers aren't unbeatable. They'd struggle a ton against Philadelphia for example. Especially if they keep developing Thybulle.

Suns deserve props for their offseason.
Their youngish team is already playing good defense, all of a sudden their future looks legit

Also, Jokic winning MVP is a real possibility if the Nuggets get top seed.

This is the time of the season (first ten games or so) when weird upsets happen. Suns beating Clippers is typical for an early season surprise. Teams don’t have their total identities, rotations, rhythm, or chemistry in place. It’s also why we had to go OT with the Suns. Basically, the good/great teams can be had during this time of year.
The same won’t usually be the case 20 to 40 games in.

Game 2 it's over lac too good well they have 2 top 5 players and their 6th man is better than our maxed out PG Well they just lost by a lot to a team we beat in overtime the night before.

There was a year the Spurs were terrible in their first 15 games and then went on to a deep playoff run. Maybe they even won the championship that year, I can't remember. But the point is that a lot of weird things happen at the beginning of the season.

hopefully the freaking Suns being good will be the catalyst that leads Silver to abolish the conference seedings and go with the 1-16 format.

The Suns are definitely not more than a 25-30 win team and the Warriors should still be fairly good. s**t like this happens every season early on. The Rockets were terrible the first month last season.

The Rockets were terrible the first month last season. I mean I think 25-30 is still more than what people expected, with no Ayton the last two also. And the warriors just lost by 30 to a supposedly terrible OKC team. They’re fucked with no Klay, Greens been riding coattails his whole career and Russell put up numbers on a s**t team in the east. Poor Steph 😭😭😭😢😢😢😂😂😂

The Rockets were terrible the first month last season. Hard disagree on Golden State. They have a really bad defensive backcourt and Draymond went from being a 4th option to a 2nd/3rd option. They also have basically no depth and are extremely young. Unless Steph has a magical MVP season like 2016 they're going to struggle in the West. They only have 1 star and almost all teams in the West have 1 minimum plus better depth than GS.
