I dont care about beating the lakers or clippers this year. its impossible. not because the nba wants it that way. we just arent ready yet.
I care about beating the pelicans, mavs, wolves, grizz in 2023. that should be our target. we should be aiming to contend in 2-3 years against those teams.
by then we could have jokic, bol, mpj and murray all in their primes or getting close. our bad deals should all be gone. just learn to fill out the rest of the roster with the RIGHT ROLE PLAYERS. every other team in the league has random players that just do their job. we are getting torched by etwan moores, and kelly olynyks, and dillon brookses and landry shamets, and ish smiths...
our top 4 should be set going forward. I like keeping grant. I think he can be a good role player going forward. morris wont be here soon since he will want to get paid. millsap will be retired. barton and harris I dont know. will they move on? will another team give them a big contract?
but changes must be made. and we have the worst guy in charge right now. scary.

man... i keep reading blazers are blessed but all I see is a 30-38 record just watch. they are probably too far behind to comeback (although I think they probably still get the 9th seed which gives them a shot) but next year they are getting everyone back which pushes us back to 4th in the NW. im telling you guys, we should be targeting 2023. utah/portland/okc just dont have enough youth to be a force in 3 years. why does malone think we can hang with lakers, clippers and rockets this year? what does he even see? we cant even beat the 2nd and 3rd tier teams at the moment. |
