The first and last part are easy, but what does this mean?
Do you have to "belong"? I am not a Twitter member and don't want to be. Other forums I'm on have simple solutions. Perhaps this one is as well, but I'm not getting the middle instruction.

I'm just spitting mad at the Bernie or Bust crowd who couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary Clinton because she wasn't the fantasy leftist savior they demanded. For awhile I tried to educate them about Article III of the Constitution and how the power to appoint federal judges was the greatest power of the presidency, but from their lofty perch they couldn't grasp it. There's also the matter that the virtually all-white, mostly male, all hetero Bernie crowd didn't seem to care that the federal courts have always been and will continue to be at the forefront of rights for women, ethnic and religious minorities, gay people etc. In the end, those holier than thou "liberals" didn't really care about people different than themselves. Keep them away from me.

Believe me, I know what you're talking about. Hopefully there are less of them this time, but those people are still out there, refusing to vote Biden unless he "earns" their vote, which, of course, he won't, due to their purity on fracking etc., which I too oppose. They would rather have Trump than a non-perfect Democrat/liberal.

Keep them away from me. that's one winning strategy. you should put that on a bumper sticker. at some point you're going to have to let go of the vitriol towards Bernie supporters and focus your ire towards the people actually enabling Trumpism and the reactionary religious right. Bernie supporters voted for Hillary in greater numbers than Hillary supporters did for Obama in 08. the "Bernie or Bust crowd" are a tiny minority that were never Democrats, Bernie brought them in but they never considered themselves Dems. it's like expecting Jokic fans to be lifelong Nugget fans if we trade him. if you think the desolate working class voters in Wisconsin or Michigan that switched from Obama in 12 to Trump in 16 were influenced by Bernie memes on twitter, bless your heart.

They would rather have Trump than a non-perfect Democrat/liberal. Sometimes liberals mistaken start believing that everyone on their "team" is smarter than all of the folks on the other side. Unfortunately, it's not true. There are plenty of dumb liberals too, and the fact they think they are really smart about government and politics makes it doubly annoying. In 2016, I spent hours and hours trying to explain the immensity of the constitutional power to appoint federal judges and Supreme Court Justices with life tenure, and the fact there isn't a hint of difference between judges who would be successfully appointed by mainstream Democrats (as in Ginsburg and Breyer and Kagan and Sotomayor) and those who would be appointed by Sanders or anyone remotely like him politically. It was like discussing the NBA with my cat -- she's obsessed with her toy mice. The Bernie or Busters are obsessed with the idea of a socialist messiah. I was about to write that they are about the same, but the toy mice are real, while the socialist messiah is fantasy. I've concluded my cat has a better grasp on reality.

Bernie Sanders
in the European context, standard social democrat.
in the US, a Che Guevara/Paul Atreides hybrid.

I get it, although some were "never Democrats" simply because they were young and new to voting and politics. While I don't like or agree with the political choices of the religious right (some of whom like my son's father in-law who is a Deacon in the Catholic Church are single issue voters), I understand them. And I respect that most don't overthink politics. They stay in their lane. On the other hand, the Bernie crowd had a massive superiority complex in 2016, yet refused to consider the real world consequences of their purity tests.

In a corrupted political system with a two-party duopoly, one of which is acting as a power-drunk monopolist intent on cementing a corporatocracy that enhances wealth inequality and environmental degradation with minimal regulation and taxes, and is now on the verge of stacking SCOTUS and federal courts in general, Bernie Bros are not high on our list of problems.
I read the other day that 2/3 of young voters do not know that six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. We not only have a broken political system, we also have a society of ignorance, non-critical thinking, and a culture of unreason. I am more concerned that after all that Trump has said and done, this election could be close enough to be contested and decided, ultimately, by SCOTUS, or by a majority of states in in the House. Trump could easily remain in power due to ignorant and disinformed electorate. Our so-called democracy is failing.

The founders did not envision what we're currently facing. They believed when it came down to it, everyone would put the country first. They were wrong.
