Site has a spyware problem?

I've logged onto Nuggets Talk twice in the last week from my computer, once from my IPod Touch.

Each time on the computer I have logged on out of nowhere a 'spyware program' by the name of AntiSpyware Soft pops up and screws up my computer.

I fixed it the first time. I just logged on not too long ago and now it popped up again..

Is there any way to check and see if something is in the site's server?

I haven't gotten it on this site but have gotten an Anti Spyware message on other sites that was running a "free" virus check.

Just got it this morning... I use a program called ComboFix to get rid of it, but then a few days later! BIGGEDY BAM it's back on my ass.

Get a Mac.

Download a browser other than Internet Explorer.

It doesn't even matter which one. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera... take your pick. They should all have anti-spyware measures built in.

Also, what you're seeing may not be Nuggets Talk's fault. It may be spyware showing up in the ads, which can be a result of your having browsed somewhere bad in the past.

Most importantly: once you get a new browser, any time you go to a part of the internet that might have bad stuff (porn sites, illegal downloads, whatever) first put your browser into private browsing mode so it won't save anything. Both Chrome and Firefox have private browsing; don't know about Opera or Safari.

I have Firefox now. I have been downloading Torrents for Nugget games and movies from the net. But that was way before this happened and I never had it. It's gone right now so far so hopefully it stays gone!
