Anyway, I'm hoping we sign Sean Williams. He's a headcase, but who gives a damn. Karl does. Williams would be stuck behind Malik, Petro, and Balkman on the bench. Karl would not play him. So there is zero point in signing him unless the FO is planning on firing Karl. At least hope the FO will try to bring in someone Karl might play.

Not to mention that he sucks at basketball. It's one thing to be a locker room cancer if you have some skill, but a whole new issue when you bring nothing to the table in practice, let alone games.

Is shot blocking a skill or something useful? Is athleticism and good hands useful? If so, we can use him. We have Malik Allen and Johan Petro. Williams is an upgrade and useful as well.

I wouldn't call Williams and upgrade over Petro actually, but that's just me.

I wouldn't call Williams and upgrade over Petro actually, but that's just me. Williams plays defense and can finish an alley hoop 99/100 times, that is enough to be an upgrade over Petro.

That's why he couldn't get minutes on the Nets even with Yi injured?

I used to play ball on a hoop in the alley by my old house. There was broken glass and s**t though, so it was sort of hard.

I'm thinkin Haywood would be a great fit, and give the team the size to matchup with the Lakers. Sounds like a wizzards fire sale is coming soon, no idea what they would be willing to take, but it sure sounds nice........If you wanted to get crazy against the Lakers you could start Haywood, Nene, K-Mart, Melo, CB.....and let Melo and K-Mart take turns on Kobe, and the size disadvantage would be gone.

I highly doubt Haywood is someone they get rid of, especially given that he is expiring. There isn't a whole lot of incentive there, unless they're getting back someone who is better/younger, on a longer deal. Which we don't really have.

HIlton Armstrong traded today.... hell, he would be an upgrade to our bigs. I know Karl isn't getting fired anytime soon, so Balkman and Petro getting any tick is out of the question. I think that a 4th big is a must, especially with K-Marts minutes recently....although it's nice to see him putting up good numbers.

who knows, maybe we offered the Hornets the same exact package as the Kings, and they decided to do business with the team that didn't embarrass them in the playoffs last year.

Maybe Armstrong is just a scrub and we didn't want to waste money on a guy who wouldn't be a difference maker.

Armstrong is 6'11 and athletic......not saying much....but Malik Allen is 6'8 and slow. Armstrong might be....23? I think if they'd make an effort to pick up even a slight upgrade they'd atleast be sending somewhat of a signal that they're trying to improve.

What's the point of spending 2-4 million on a player who would never play, just to make the end of our bench look better on paper? That's dumb. Sure he is upgrade over Allen (Petro is questionable) as a player, but does he actually make our team any better or give us a better chance at beating that Lakers? Not at all. So it's just not worth it.

So since Karl goes mostly with an 8 man rotation when everybody is healthy....you're saying that the only way we upgrade is by moving one of those 8? Because realistically Karl has never shown an ability to manage a bench.

Not really. If we had a decent 9th man, he'd roll 9 deep. He did it last year with Kleiza, and it helped keep Martin and Nene's minutes down.

So we still haven't made a trade yet? Damn...
I sorta expected one.
Too bad for Michael Redd.
