Serbia bigger bums than our bench No way Nuggets starters could draw a tie with this USA team, meaning serbian bums are still better than Nuggets starters not the bench. And that tells you a lot

I have no doubt he'll have the max, they might have stuck at NT option or something like that, which would be stupid and he does not deserve an NT, but a max - yeah. Small markets have to pay max such players. He's not the top tier, but there are worse guys than him getting that max around the league. Still doesn't change the fact that he's game for Canada NT was terrible and remarkable bad +/- NTC are extremely rare in the nba. Murray won’t get one

Since the Olympics are going on, here’s a little flashback Nuggets content. I had family at the Sydney games in 2000. My only request was pictures of Antonio McDyess and this was the result. Taken on a cheap film camera, but still awesome to have.

lol my 2 year old just climbed up in my lap and asked "want see bassik-ball" so I clicked on the first basketball video on my youtube homepage -- a dunk compilation from DAJ and Blake Griffin -- and my kid watches for about 30 seconds and then starts saying "oh the guy got rekt"

Rooting for South Sudan to make it to the basketball knockout rounds via wildcard — I found myself wishing the US had let the foot off the gas in the last minute yesterday.
I looked up Nuni Omot’s background — born in a refugee camp after his family fled civil war. Carlik Jones is a mercenary like a lot of national team players in various sports, but he’s been playing his butt off for South Sudan while living the basketball life the hard way.
For me, watching the US games has an ick factor — the US team has billionaires and near billionaires occasionally mugging for the camera or flexing to the crowd while playing against some guys willing to go anywhere in the world for a 100K salary.

I almost wonder if Bol left the team because he was being played off the floor during practices? They're a very skilled team.

Eagles AHL look to be moving to Greeley and building a brand new arena there.
If it goes through it will leave a pretty damn nice building in Loveland empty. Might be a good time for someone to put a G-League squad there.

I love how the American media is focusing on ‘Overall Medal Count’ and not ‘Gold Medal Count’ because they’re currently losing. Brilliant stuff.
Will likely end up topping the gold medal count but it’s hilarious.

Doesn't really matter. US is now tied in golds and the lead will likely only widen given we sent 16 wrestlers and usually clean up in that sport.
We got our asses whooped in Judo, though. 0 medals. And I think we only have one boxer left alive? Taekwondo hasn't started yet but I think we only sent 4 or 5 people total to that.
Mostly I just watch the fight sports and basketball.

USA amateur boxing is a joke. 1 lonely bronze at this Olympics, no golds since Andre Ward in 2004 for the men and none since Claressa Shields in 2016 for the women.
It's even more annoying when you look at how successful American fighters still are in the pro ranks.
For men's boxing, the current professional lineal champions by nation USA: 4 Japan: 3 (but one fighter holds two of them) Mexico: 1 Ukraine: 1 Australia: 1 Canada: 1 (fighter born in Russia, but fights for and lives in Canada) Rest of the world combined: 0
And yet we've gone 20 damn years without a male Olympic champion.
