Any thread starter that has to qualify their thread with this format:
_______: " .............. "
...should get banned. At least a little bit.
Just sayin' ... If it's not important enough that you have to justify posting it with the no-name name of the douchebag who wrote the original piece (of crap), then it may not be worth posting.

It's like both the top posts in the Nuggets forum.

So... if I'm listening to the radio and hear George Karl say "we're looking to trade Melo," and I make a post titled "George Karl: Nuggets looking to trade Melo," I should get banned?
Hell, a lot of times those stupid articles written by no-name, wannabe "journalists/bloggers" lead to some of the most interesting conversation. See the Ric Bucher thread.
I get what you're saying, and think you're half joking, but... yeah. Lame idea.

It's like both the top posts in the Nuggets forum. Oh I see what you mean. Well I don't know if it warrants a ban more than just a "Stern" warning (get it?) But sometimes it does get out of control. We will definately look at it.

Alternative:
anyone who posts an article from bleacher report or Charlie Rosen gets banned.

If you post an article by Charlie Rosen you really don't have to worry about being banned. Your problem would be rock flying to your hometown, finding out where you live, and personally chopping your testicles off.

Alternative: anyone who posts an article from bleacher report or Charlie Rosen gets banned. This is really more what I meant. Just because some joe schmoe makes a bleacher report account and posts something that pops up in a google news search doesn't make it "news" or "analysis" or "worth talking about". What you said, Tymes: ...is not what I meant at all. Of course that's different. But sorry if that wasn't clear.

Ok, I kinda just didn't feel like posting the random article i was making fun of in the 99 page offseason thread, where every body was freaking out about JR being a blood. Is a new thread a huge deal or something? Its not like there are 20 active threads and mine pushed one to the second page or something. Just sayin

The thing about BR is that it's basically just any other basketball forum full of your random middle school idiots. Just because it's an "article" form, doesn't make it anymore of an official piece of writing than any post you or I write here on NT. So in effect, all you're really doing when posting something from BR, is copying some idiot's post off let's say realgm, and making a thread on here to discuss it. That's pointless. If you're going to make a worthless thread to discuss some stupid topic or retarded trade idea, you might as well have it be your own thoughts, instead of some random 12 year old's.
