As someone beneath the limit, it is a little frustrating, but I understand the need completely having seen some of the Nuggets/Jazz and Nuggets/Raptors fan wars on RealGM

Is this a rule for only starting new threads or for replying as well?
I have 360 post, 361 if you count this one. It tells me I don't have enough post at the bottom of the page, but there are some topics that will let me reply and with others the reply button is missing.
I know that 361 posts in 5 years isn't many. I don't really speak my mind unless I have something worth saying. I just read here most the time, but if a topic grabs my attention I'd like the chance to be able to reply.

Funny thing, since I posted this last post the "you don't have enough posts" thing went away

As far as I can tell, its 50 posts to be able to post in the main section, 300 to be able to start new threads

I think 20 would sound good, but, oh well, that's just me.

Make it 20, you cant just leave me with the r00ks in here. And wow, 300 to start making threads ? I think this shouldnt be based on the quantitative view, but on the qualitative.

this has been turned off temporarily until we fix the bugs.
but it does not give new posters (or anyone) the right to post the trollish crap in the main forums like we have been getting (not saying the new posters will do that but if anyone does it will not be allowed).

Thank God, I was wondering why I was able to post in the big forum last night.

Same here, the rookie forum is way too unactive, and there are some interesting threads in the main forum.

I have to agree with PAC (I just threw up a little), that the main restriction that needs to exist is on new topics.
Also, FYI to the new guys. The Rookie Forum experiment only started like a week ago, that's why there's not much content.

Time to turn it back on Rock and take off quick reply to enforce it.

I have never seen a minimum post rule on other boards. I don't like it

Of course, because you're not coming here trying to be a legit poster, and the rules are keeping you from posting whatever crap you want. You wont even say what it is you want to post or what it's about, when mods have said that if it is a quality thread, they'd move it to the main forum.
Seems to me the rule is working the way it was intended, preventing trolls like yourself from coming in and spamming the board with bullshit(and it's pretty clear that's what it is, otherwise you wouldn't be so much of a pussy to say what it is).

I have never seen a minimum post rule on other boards. I don't like it It's intended to keep trolls out of the main forums. Consider this area your "proving ground" -- show that you have worthwhile things to say and we let you play with the big kids. Keep just jacking up your postcount and being coy about why you're here, and we ban you before you reach the minimum. If you have a quality thread to present, you can start it up in the rookie area. If it's good, I will personally move it to the main forum for you. If it's bad, nobody else has to bother with it.
