ok so now all registered members should be able to view the main boards but you need 50 posts or more to be able to post in them.
give me feedback on this - how is it working so far?
is 50 too high or too low guys?

I notice this wangchung character was posting random nonsense just to try to get to 10.

ok i think its working now. again those with less than 50, please give me feedback.
i also had to get rid of the quick reply box. not sure how much you guys liked it or used it but if i kept it, then everyone could continue posting.
if you guys really want that back, ill look for other options.
hopefully this is a good start.

omg no quick reply? bad bad bad news. no quick reply completely sucks and will kill this board please bring back asap As for posts, it seems a lot of people are posting to have view access they dont necessarily want to keep posting, cant we just have them have read only right off the bat? 50 seems high, if you made it 10 but people could view main board without any problems you wouldnt have BS posts. |

quick reply was removed temporarily bc anyone would have been able to use it thus making the 50 post min useless. give me time to find a way to bring it back. I've truned it back for now though...
monitoring will be done to prevent trolls from just posting crap to post everywhere. right now all members can view but only those with 50 can post.
like I said I'm still working on it so give me a little time to tweek it but keep the suggestions and opinions coming.

BTW WTF happened to the Quick Post feature??? im thinking they should ONLY have priviledges in the rookie section to post. no main forum, no off topic, no "other sports", no feedback. that guarantees if somebody does want to troll, it will only be in one section and makes it extremely easy to find and ban/delete. as long as they can still read all the forums its all gravy. make it 25 posts and its perfect... |

I do agree with this. 50 posts is easy to get, when you're able to post in the main sections and talk about basketball. But without that, what are newbs really going to be able to post about? Phonz shaving his nuts and Jay Cutler being a b***h? Unless this rookie talk is developed a little with real threads for newbs to post in, it just doesn't seem like the system would work. You'd really need to get some mods for this section that will post some Nuggets/basketball related topics and keep a discussion going as well, so that the newbs will actually have something to post about, otherwise all you're going to see is guys making dumb posts in the dumb threads that exist in hangout and what not. This, of course, is assuming the NT/NBA ever become restricted....because right now it's all moot, as the newbs can still post there. |

maybe we should reduce it to 25 then? with a couple extra mods in place it should be easy to catch anyone trying to take advantage of the system.
and for everyone else (the actual good posters who dont troll/spam) they can make their 25 easier and get to the main sections.
