www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36%257E90%257E793703%257E,00.html I'm cool with it. English as top assistant. Maybe a geezer like McLeod as second.

I think this is a very good choice. A defensive coach who understands how defense can create a lot of easy baskets especially at altitude. Most of the guys Kiki has drafted are good athletes I expect everyone but our Center to be a good Athlete. I think our Eventual Center will just be a huge body who boxes people out and rebounds.

I agree. But i really don't think his was ever in the running. Do think that Nelson Sr. would let him go? They were just ensuring that Jr. would be next in line when Sr. left. If Kiki could have gotten him, I'm sure he would have. I'm excited about Buzz. We are surrounding ourselves w/ classy hardworking people...now if only we could win.

Eventhough it was not a shock to most that Bzdelik is the new coach, if you would have asked when the season ended, everyone would have laughed.
Signing Bzdelik matches Kiki's plan perfectly. The people that he has brought in all have similar characteristics: professionalism, intensity, and most of all they want to be here.
As for what this means for next year, I am thinking that we will be an over-acheiving team. We are very deep in the 3-5 spots. I hope that Bz runs a good 10-11 man rotation, rather than the Issel "exile 5 guys to 1mpg" method.
We will have several players playing for new contracts (Posey, Howard, and all the new guys like Savovic, Harrington, Blount, etc), and lots of athleticism. This is the most excited I have been for a Nuggets season in a while, this is a team that I want to watch.
We will the surprise team next year, far exceeding everyones expectations, and will be able to get Dre Miller as a FA, and then draft a stud SG, and will be set for the next 10 years.

You said Egroves...I'll be seein' you at the games.
Can't wait to hear Ford and Hughes eat their words. We may not have a winning season. But I bet we'll win the respect of many.
