Let a sleeping dog lie. Don’t chant “Who’s your daddy” or some other taunting chant during Game 1 of what could be a long 7 game series. Show the other team the respect that they show us. Lebron has been so complimentary of Jokic and the Nuggets, and fans here and at the arena want to rile him up? Let the Lakers know your feelings AFTER we have our fourth win secured. The Lakers are motivated to try to win and fan chants won’t change any of that. The games will be decided by talent. The fans paid good money to go to the games and can do what they want as long as it’s not dangerous or offensive. They paid to have fun.

Fun to me is witnessing up close the greatness of Jokic and teamwork he and Gordon and MPJ and Murray and KCP display. Chanting childish taunts is like the wave. It’s what casuals who aren’t used to watching championship hoops do for fun.

I was never a huge Rocky fan, even at his best, but now he's pathetic. I am 70 years old with Parkinson's, and I have a MUCH better chance to make the half-court basket. I even try a couple when I'm in an empty gym. Can regularly make FTs and Top of the key shots. I am also not even slightly funny or entertaining, but I would knock the sox off the current idiot. (who gives a damn if he's the son or whatever of the original. As bad as he is, ANYBODY could do his job, and I'm sure he is compensated decently)
Yelling "who's your Daddy" is stupid and makes Denver and Colorado look braindead and disrespectful. Anyone who yells it should be escorted out of the arena...permanently...

Seems like Malone was pretty loose with the bench minutes which is a big departure from seasons past. I think they held up well too. Could really help keep everyone fresh if we can go 10 deep. I'm not sure how much we'll see DJ overall. I think he only got in the game tonight because Gordon got in early foul trouble, and then Malone went back to him because he held up okay. I always expected we'd see Reggie, CB, Watson, and Holiday off the bench. It was clear to me that the Nuggets were going to win when DJ sank both of his free throws.

I'm not saying the fans don't have a right to parrot that drunk midget imbecile Vic Lombardi, I'm saying chanting "Who's Your Daddy" at a Laker team led by a 40 year old LeBron projects a certain cow townness, for lack of a better term.
we should be acting like beating the Lakers was a foregone conclusion, not like some hicks that struck oil in their backyard.
I'm sure Nugget fans will not appreciate it when the shoe is on the other foot and past-his-prime Jokic is getting openly disrespected by Laker fans.

As I've said before, DJ may be old and slow, but he has plenty of experience and KNOWS what to do, which is why he'll make a good coach...probably next year...

Yankee stadium in Bronx, NYC That’s so 2009, though. For people who aren’t baseball fans here (most, I suspect), Pedro Martinez coined the term “who’s your daddy” when he was with the Red Sox and dominating the Yankees. This was in 2009 in Pedro’s last season when he was washed. Kind of funny in that context.

Rocky Jr still does some stuff really well. He's still fairly athletic, he has some of the physical humor down, and there's plenty of the mascot job that's just showing up and being a goofy mountain lion holding up signs that say "GO" and then "NUGGETS". But line-drive halfcourt shots that fly in about 3 feet below the rim aren't getting it done for a showcase timeout piece. Dude needs to get the mechanics down. Get deeper on the squat to develop sufficient power, and have a consistent release with a good arc so you at least have a chance.

Why the Vic Lombardi hate? He was a Nuggets ball boy a long time ago and bleeds Rainbow Skyline powder blue pick axes.

In the distant past I yelled a couple of STUPID things at opposing players. I called Neal Walk a "hairy ape" (Turns out he was Jewish, and he was the hairiest person I've ever seen, but he didn't do anything to me or any Nuggets) Probably heard it his whole life.
I also called Jerry Stackhouse "ugly". He was strange-looking, but no more so than current coach "Popeye" Jones. I was right behind the visiting Pistons' bench at the time. Stackhouse was mere feet away and he turned around and looked at me, but didn't look angry. He just looked like someone who had heard that before who was thinking, "I bet we could be friends if you'd get to know me".
I felt bad as soon as the words left my mouth in both cases.

also, yeah, the Who's Your Daddy chant comes off as a bit "I am brand new to success" which on the one hand is true and on the other hand we've had superbowls and Stanley Cups and some deep NBA playoff runs. The Lakers have owned us for a long time in the playoffs, but last year was the time for Who's Your Daddy, not this playoffs. This playoffs, don't do random s**t to piss off their scrubs and make someone angry enough to undercut Jamal or cheap shot Joker.

This the key thing. Lebron had a couple of times he could have undercut Joker, but I honestly think he respects him completely. As you say, it's the scrubs who might do it.
Draymond Green respects Joker tremendously and would never hurt him. How many people can say that?
