Gordon has great hands which makes this connection possible, and obviously has the hops.
AG is such a better fit than Grant ever would have been. He’s a better rebounder, passer, and yes, dunker. Grant shoots better and makes lots of FTs. Defensively, I’d say they have similar impact, but Gordon is more physical presence. We lucked out when Grant bolted, and TC made a helluva trade with Magic.

No way Grant could be as effective as a smallball 5 as Gordon.

Grant and Jokic never developed good chemistry. Grant also disappeared during the playoff games. His 3-pointer disappeared.
Massive blessing in disguise when he bolted.

Big fan of this duo. It was blatantly clear after the instant chemistry young Jokic developed with Faried that pairing Joker with an ultra athletic 4 (that could defend, unlike Kenneth) was the way to go and AG has met and even surpassed expectations. Very lucky to have a bought-in AG for the remainder of his prime.
