Murray could get hurt too. Those are just hypotheticals. I also didn't list Booker who is ahead of Murray as well. He'd have to jump 2 of those 7 guys and realistically 5 are locks. There's no guarantee both wild cards would be guards either. Not happening unless he gets his PPG over 25 and even then it'll be tough. George hasn't even played guard this season. Basketball reference shows he has played 84% of his minutes at PF this season, 7% at SF, and 9% at C. I'm pretty sure the way it works is 4 guards 6 forwards and then 2 wild cards. Fox. Shai. Ant. Curry. Luka. All locks. So you'd still need them to go 2 wild cards that are guards and even in that case he'd have to jump Booker. He basically needs an injury to have any chance.

Again, all I said was you never know what will happen. Guys get hurt all the time. It has happened to Murray 3 times this year, it happens to Paul George like 3 times a day. It's certainly not something you'd expect them to give up on if it's still in play.

SGA, Luka and ANT are locks. The other ones are not because of the team record. Murray still has a chance if he starts scoring 30+ points a game. Murray is a champion and the other ones are not. He needs to get credit somehow for his mvp type play in PO's

Murray isn't getting in without averaging 25+PPG or the Nuggets dominating the conference in the win column, neither of which is happening.

it's going to suck when a player like Donovan Mitchell makes the team over Murray, when he's putting up empty stats on a middling Eastern conference team that plays better when he's inactive, but life aint fair.

Murray isn't getting in without averaging 25+PPG or the Nuggets dominating the conference in the win column, neither of which is happening. If Murray starts scoring 30+ points for several consecutive games he can get in. As always, the media will downplay everybody else and magnify Murray's numbers for the streach before ASB. But for that to happen he will need to have a few 30+ points games soon. The problem is that Nuggets are blowing off opponents by 30+ points and he's not playing enough to get the numbers.

Jokic in his last 3 games 26/28 FG 2/2 3PT 4/4 FT
He has shot 5 or fewer free throws in 7 of his last 8 games, with the exception being the 18 attempt game that got Kerr's undies in a twist.

I expect Murray to get some extra love, in regard to the championship win. I also don't think Fox is anywhere near being a lock.
I think Murray will make the team.
You can't "not" give two slots to the team that just won it all.

Add me to the column of people who think Braun is in danger of losing his rotation spot.
Note: I don't think Braun has played poorly - he's actually been decent overall. His defense needs to pick up tho (as others have said), but that will happen.
The reason I think he's in danger is because, every time Justin Holiday plays, he plays damn well! I could see a scenario where Malone finds more time for Holiday, at the cost of Braun.

But if it's a wash between Holiday and Braun, you play the young guy. CB is shooting 40% from 3 and has shown a bit more creativity in shots at the rim. What's impressive about Holiday is his professionalism. Dude plays 25 good minutes one night, then gets 3 DNP/CDs....then plays 20 good minutes again. Not sure any of the young guys could perform under those circumstances.

If Holiday takes anybody's minutes it's going to be Strawther's, not Braun's. The idea that Braun would fall out of the rotation is absolutely absurd.
CB per 100 possessions last year --> this year Offensive rating: 114 --> 115 Defensive rating: 115 --> 114 Points: 14.9 --> 20.7 Rebounds: 7.5 --> 9.1 Assists: 2.4 --> 4.4 Steals: 1.7 --> 1.0 Blocks: 0.7 --> 0.9 Turnovers: 1.4 --> 1.8 Fouls: 4.2 --> 4.0
Shooting splits: .495/.354/.624 --> .466/.400/.746
Advanced PER: 10.3 --> 12.9 WS/48: .079 --> .100 BPM: -2.4 --> -1.7 VORP: -0.1 --> 0.0 TS%: .568 --> 558
His 2 point shooting is down, his defense has suffered slightly, but his overall productivity is up significantly and he's still adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. He hasn't even topped 2000 career minutes yet. He'll be a better player at the end of the season than he is today. Justin Holiday will be Justin Holiday either way.

As others have pointed out -
Malone is purposely playing the young guys to get them ready - which is good.
Holliday awaits if we have any injuries to our wings.
I still want another big man.
