Nuggets have the 4th worst offense in the final 10 games. Gotta go back and run this offense through Jokic almost every time down. Correct that will make this a shorter series. C'mon Nuggets!!

Vegas isn't exactly over the moon for Denver. Second tightest series odds of any playoff series. Not surprised. Most other series look pretty straight forward

Not to mention San Antonio somehow finished in the 7 seed and gets to play the 9 seed in the first round - pretty lucky on their part.

I know we can lose to anyone but I really think this is the most winnable first round series for us. I don't think we would have beaten Utah or OKC tbh. Clippers have Pat Bev, Gallo, Lou Will and Harrell. I think we'd win that but it would be tough.
Spurs top 2 players are guys who live in the mid-range. In the modern NBA that shouldn't really work and their defense is terrible. We can still lose obviously but I think this was our best possibility for a first round. Pop is the GOAT and could be the difference but we easily have the best player in the series and much more overall talent. Hopefully we get playoff Derozan lol

Pop factor is real and one of the main reasons why I don't mind people picking the Spurs.
I wish Malone could have popped his playoff cherry against Billy Donovan or even Doc Rivers. but if he could pull it off, that would pretty much erase all doubts I have in his coaching abilities. your first time and beat the guy that has been winning in the playoffs since the Clinton admin? Bigly.

Seems to be 60/40 split in favor of Denver

I'm talking outside the bubble of Nuggets fandom. opinion seems pretty split from what I've seen so far - though that probably was going to happen regardless of the opponent due to our inexperience.

The 538 model just seems...off
89% to beat the spurs?
50% to make the WCF?
6% to make the finals?
In that debate they emphasize mostly why they should doubt us
But the model loves us. Those percentages are way off.

I picked the Nuggs in five but wouldnāt be surprised if it goes seven, and the only reason for that is Pop. I canāt imagine thereās anyone out there that legitimately think the Spurs are a better/more talented team than the Nuggets. DeRozan and LA are solid players but by no means are they superstars, and the rest of roster is pretty unimpressive. Pop obviously trumps Malone but I think Malone has made some pretty big steps this season. In the end I just donāt really feel like San Antonio is very good, I would have rather played LAC but I like the Nuggets chances against either of those two, OKC, and Portland. The Jazz would be tough and I donāt think they would beat either Houston or GSW in a series. I think the home court advantage is huge too, SA has sucked on the road and the Nuggets have arguably the best home court in the league. So that being said I like the Nuggs to win the first two and then maybe pull out a squeaker in one of the two road games, closing it out at home.
But then again Iām a life long Nuggets fan so losing the series would by no means shock me, regardless as disappointing as that would be this has to be considered a very successful season. Onward and upward, canāt wait for these playoffs to get under way. GO NUGGS!

game legit projections imo. Only thing that i would change is put Bucks ahead of Raptors by few % if Brogdon is healthy.

I hate when ESPN asks āis denver a threat to gs?ā Of course we arenāt Zero people in the media had us top 4 in the preseason. But they use that stupid comparison to call us a failure. If we win one series Iāll be ecstatic. Thatās a success.
