u agreed to that post btw. ur being unfair man. I quoted the whole post to not be unfair. I was not confirming or denying what Deternice said - just what I said. That your theory is that this team can turn it on any time they really want it, and that they decide to cruise through some games because they can't play hard every one of them. I did agree, albeit with reservation, but that was before this very bad stretch at the road against theoreticaly lesser competition overal, but a couple of hard playing teams that should have elicited that "fire" you speak of. we lost the first game of the season we should have "turned it on". i hope u werent expecting perfect? we should have won. cb was hurt and our guards were awful in relief. their bigs were hurt and their bench still s**t on nene and company. we lost and it sucks. but over a 7 games series, with an added big I HOPE, i still feel this team can win the west. i was wondering how long it would be before we lost our first game against a quality opponent for some of u guys to attack "my theory". unfair no matter what u think, but i expected it.

But 10fts = 5 shots IMO 32 shots, is a little to much for one player. Roy took 29 in 4 more minutes Roy had 41 and was hitting shots. Why do you keep playing stupid? Who the fck cares if Melo took 23 or 29 or 32 shots...or if JR took 15 or 23...very trivial to me to be discussed for an extended amount of time.

i figured u wouldnt shut up about nene for an entire week without getting something from me. sorry i brought up what was an attempt at a friendly lil thing. yikes. Man, it had been much more than a week since I had last spoken of Nene, and the one little line I posted tonight was criticising him. You're just reaching. And I never minimized Nene's flaws, by the way - all I do, and continue to do, is to point out that he has merits that offset them somewhat, and still make him a great player to have. The fact we maybe look at things differently doesn't mean you're unbiased and I'm a homer. Like I said before, I couldn't care less for the fact Nene is Brazilian.

How many players in the league shut down players more often? Name them! He doesn't have an impact on defense. Why are you debating this? Who would you have in his place? Tell me, i need a good laugh

I would think we would "turn it on" against a team in our division, but I guess not? I would think we would "turn it on" when going against one of our best players former team, but I guess not. I would think we would "turn it on" against the worst team in the league on our home floor, but I guess not. So when exactly do we "turn it on"? Is it when we're playing the Lakers and Hawks on back to backs?

But he had to take all 20 shots, and he didn't take a single stupid shot (maybe one).. You can't expect him to hit 10 3's every game, all you can ask for is to play smart, and JR did good (for JR)

He doesn't have an impact on defense. Why are you debating this? Who would you have in his place? in AA's place? is that a serious question?

we lost the first game of the season we should have "turned it on". This is were we disagree. I think we should have won against New Orleans as well - they were not above .500, but had been without CP. The whole point, however, is not that such "theory" should be perfect. The point is that thinking you can win any time you put real effort into it is dangerous, because you are bound to eventually lose games even when you do play hard - so the team should not take "bad" teams lightly as frequently as they do, no matter how highly they think of themselves.

Why do people always do this? Just because we say someone isn't good, it doesn't mean we had much better options. We got the guy for cheap. There are a ton of players better than him, but we can't trade for Battier or sign Ariza. Stop being stupid. We don't have a lot of tradeable assets on this team and we don't have much cap space. We got what we could. Its that simple.

Holy s**t. Just stop.

Yeah, rockets would give up Battier or Ariza for nothing.
And who in the league are better defenders (SG's) than AA, I can only name a few.

Stephen Jackson Kirk Hinrich Delonte West Ariza/Battier (whichever you consider to be sg) Kobe Wade Chandler Thabo Iguodala T.Evans (depending what position you want o say he plays) That's off the top of my head.
