Wow nuggets, this is the effort they need to play with, the passing tonight was great. The ball wasn't sticky and everyone played great defense. That 3rd quarter was fantastic, melo played great in the second half, that's the way he needs to play. choosing his spots and making the right decision with the ball,Loved his shot selection as well.
Lawson dunk was awesome and jr was pretty good with the 3 ball. Arron defense on kobe was great, i think we finally found a guy that can guard kobe effectively.

espn reported that kobe was 2-10 when Afflalo was guarding him and 5-7 when someone else was on him.

Just got back from the game. Typical bandwagon Lakers fans behind me. Didn't even know who Derek Fisher was or that Ron Artest was on the team........Damn, I hate Lakers fans.

i believe it. only shot i can remember kobe hitting on afflalo was that fadeaway off the glass from the left side.
i've seen a lot of people defend kobe over the years....and that was honestly one of the best jobs i've ever seen one person do on him. i'm sure some of it was the b2b, but still...it was highly impressive.
he didn't foul stayed in front of any drive attempts kept him out of the paint (i don't think kobe even had an attempt in the paint) didn't bite on any pump fakes still contested every jumpshot didn't make the physicality personal or try to take it back at kobe offensively more than he's capable of.
can't do any better than that.

AA definitely played him great. I like the fact that he's a much more intelligent defender than DJ ever was. No thuggery needed, just solid D. If he was just a little bit bigger he'd be a BEAST.

Denver Nuggets 1-0 when AC isn't in the building...stat of the night. Which kills the 3 pg lineup....and ties George's hands.

You'd think tonight proved that AA should be getting all of AC's minutes added on to his current load. Then again, you'd have thought AA had proven over the last few games of the road trip as well.
Hopefully Karl is just letting AC down easy, and gradually. Slowly phasing him out of the rotation altogether.

Good to see 28 assists!
The Nuggets won the motivation and won the rest just by being motivated, Lakers kind of lackadasical off a TNT win.
Lakers will probably spank the Nuggets next time, but that doesn' happen til Feb 5th

I remember on one possession, Kobe was doing his up and under, fade away pump fake routine, and Afflalo didn't bite on any of the pump fakes. Kobe had a surprised look on his mug afterwards.

23 second half points for the Lakers Nice! AA played the best D on kobe anybody ever will and Ty was the best pg in the arena. Some pretty solid offseason acquisitions right there.
