A lot of people, myself included, started to give up on the Nuggs well before the game was over. Not me... as long as the Lakers are involved. I'm watching.

I never stopped watching or cheering, I just figured they would collapse before the end of the first half, the exact opposite happened. This is a different Nuggs team.

A lot of people, myself included, started to give up on the Nuggs well before the game was over. I don't get that. It doesn't snowball like it used to pre-Chauncey. They proved all year they can dig out of holes worse than this one was. I know it's the Lakers and it's Staples Center, but it never felt 'over'.

Well thats because youre an optimist, and rooting for the Nuggets for so long has made me a pesimist. I know its a different team, which was clearly demonstrated last night, but after the first couple minutes of the second quarter I started feeling a lot like rock and I assumed the Nuggets would do what theyve always done down against the Lakers, in Staples, with their backs against the wall. Thankfully I was wrong.

Don't use the inbounds steal as a reason you lost the game. We shot killer shots that you could not defend throughout the game. You lost at the FT line.

I was concerned in the second quarter, but never thought of turning the game off and never thought we couldn't come back. I mean, this team has been down 10 before to a team and come back this year. Even in the playoffs, even on the road. (we were down 89-79 with 3 minutes left in NO and had a chance to win) I was stunned we were as close as we were with nothing going our way and our poor play. I wasn't on the board to say it, but was thrilled with how lucky we were. If the Lakers can't blow us out when we are playing that poorly, they can't blow us out period. It's kind of like a four round golf tournament. The goal in the first half is to make sure you don't lose the tourney right there. You get down by 20+, get in serious foul trouble, etc. in the first two rounds and you destroy your chances of being in the game in the final round. Even before that final run, the Nuggets were within touch and were well within the range to make it a game in the fourth. In reality, that's all I want to do in LA. Make the games fourth quarter games. Give us a chance to win and I'll take my chances with what happens. At home, it'd sure be nice to have a 20 point win.

One more note:
Cleveland and Denver are the only playoff teams this year not to mail a game in. Until we do it, I'll always assume we'll be in every game til the end, no matter how poorly we start.

As a selfish Nuggets fan I'd rather get the Magic since they're the inferior team.. but as a basketball fan I want to see Melo and LeBron. Relegate Kobe to the doldrums of yesterday. Melo winning a title before LeBron would be the bee knee's as well.

I'm not too concerned as we have yet to unleash the Machine. Ariza is working you over. Our bench is fine. I sure hope you don't expect LK to show up again. Because I have news for you.....

Well, you can understand why they think that way... since in a Lakers' fan's head, the Lakers are perfect and infallable in every conceivable way. So, any foul called against them MUST be wrong. Being perfect and infallable in every conceivable way, the only way they could ever lose... nay, the only way they could ever give up a point OR fail to score, MUST be the result of a screwjob. true. it their minds, all they know is getting every call. thats what they are used to. one of the funnier moments was them bitching over and over and over about gasol being 'thrown' into the camera men by nene (i think). i then got to see the replay on that...holy s**t...not a foul. gasol flops like a fish. i believe nene or kmart later on got thrown into the camera men in a similar play...no call. but they dont mention that.
