Got to give props to LK. He picked a good night to show up and in doing so saved the season.
Got to feel pretty good about being even without much from Bird, JR, and Jones.
Did anyone miss AC...not me.
Van Gundy...what a Laker suck up.

The biggest thing that I noticed in this game was the way it was a complete mirror image of Game 1.
Team A gets out to a double-digit lead early, then lead shrinks by halftime. Team B gets even in the 3rd, but Team A puts regains a gap. 4th Quarter was close, but Team B executes better down the stretch for the win.

Well, you can understand why they think that way... since in a Lakers' fan's head, the Lakers are perfect and infallable in every conceivable way. So, any foul called against them MUST be wrong.
Being perfect and infallable in every conceivable way, the only way they could ever lose... nay, the only way they could ever give up a point OR fail to score, MUST be the result of a screwjob.

A couple of things I would like to point out is: -In Game 1, the win was pretty much given away by Team A to Team B *cough*CarterTurnover*cough*. In Game 2, the win was hard-fought. -In both games, Team A was the visiting team. Even in the crucial Game 2 where Team A was the one who was down and trailed by double-digits and was trying to bounce back from a loss at the same time. These 2 things show and tell us alot.

Missing 11 free throws and getting pummeled on the glass will also hurt your chances. It's not all Carter's fault.

^ Even with all those missed free throws and being outrebounded, the game was still within reach and winnable up until the Carter turnover. No matter how you look at it, that Carter turnover SEALED the win for the Lakers. So it is his fault. And Karl's for putting him there in the first place.

As is usually the case, Carter's crappiness wasn't entirely his fault. There's no way he should have been inbounding that ball... outside of calling a timeout (which was the obvious right play), he made the next best play available to him.
Even with all that, the difference was that we outscored them by 2 from the line, and attempted 2 more FGs than them (as a result of the rebounding being even... we actually WON on the offensive glass). Game 1, LA attempted SIXTEEN more field goals than Denver... you'll almost never win a game like that.

He messed up, no doubt, but the team shouldn't have been in that situation. And it was a terrible play to call. So it's not all his fault.

amazing how similar the first two games in opposite ways. First game we were the better team most the game and ended up losing. This game LA was the better and lost. Kobe outscored Melo by a couple but needed a lot more shots to do it, today it was Melo's turn. Kobe closed out that game, tonight our closers took care of business. Both coaches made some weird decisions tonight, Phil leaving Ariza out when he was killing it (anyone think he'd make a good starting SG for us next year? We'd be huge and he's what we were missing). GK pulling out the guys who were getting it done, its like he sets his rotations at beginning of game and refuses to alter. Neither coaches decision seemed to blow it for them, but both would have won if they probably managed subs differently. Don't forget the other similarities: First game, we had two crucial turnovers at the end of the game, this game the Lakers had two. First game, we couldn't hit our FTs, this game the Lakers couldn't hit them (at the end of the game).

Fans are pretty much the same everywhere you go. Haha, I guess that Denver will have to smack their butts hard in game three, so there is no doubt where the fault lies, not in the refs but with their team!

Ill eat crow, LK stepped up big for us last night. We would have been blown out in the first half with out his production. If he keeps playing like that, Im all for him getting some minutes.

You don't have to eat anything, it was an aberration.. but it came when the Nuggets needed it most. Kleiza owed that game to his teammates. He's still not worth re-upping.

A lot of people, myself included, started to give up on the Nuggs well before the game was over.
