In case it gets buried in the AI thread and rock doesn't see it: Rock, restrict viewing of the board to members that signed up before the last month or so! That way we can get something from Eric on the trade, maybe. The guy from radio was reading stuff off the board Edit: assuming salvador's was a joke.

I think he was just joking. Besides I don't think Sandy would even post. If he even signed up it's more likely a guy who doesn't have any posts or just a few.

Anyway, restricting the view to "historic members only" and maybe also to "historic members with more than 50 posts" would make this a perfectly safe place for Eric to provide some info.

Well, don't know if historic is the right word, but I mean people that have been here for more than a month.

maybe this is a long shot... shouldn't the ip be stored on this user?
do a ping on am950thefan.com and see if it matches any ip's on this board - and you most likely got your man..

This is silly. Why do you guys think you are more priviledged than other Nugget fans?

The thing is Clough said that someone emailed him the info. So unless nobody emails him the info it won't matter if he has access or not.

This is silly. Why do you guys think you are more priviledged than other Nugget fans? Our source chooses who to reveal his info to. Show respect to his decision -- if he wants Sandy Clough to tell people about it on the radio, he'll e-mail it to Sandy Clough and say "hey, tell people this on the radio." But it seems to me he prefers to only share his info with Nuggets fans who read these boards, which is fine with me. And Sandy, if you're reading... if you are going to take info from our board, at least disguise it. Learn to paraphrase, and don't go telling people where the info came from.

I don't listen to AM radio so I don't know who Sandy is but if I heard someone on the radio saying his source is via e-mail, I would not take it seriously. Imagine watching CNN and the reporter says, "I just got an e-mail saying that Germany has just been nuked." I would laugh my ass off.

Also, the people listening to the radio aren't Nugget fans I assume... the point is, we have a great source here but you feel uptight about sharing it with other Nugget fans.

if I heard someone on the radio saying his source is via e-mail... He doesn't need to say what form his source took at all. He doesn't need to say "I just got an e-mail..." or "I just was reading an internet message board..." (which, by the way, is even more likely to be laughed at.) Just say "a source close to the team says..." and then say what you have to say. Don't go quoting our board verbatim, don't go telling people you got your info on an internet message board or via e-mail or whatever, unless the person who gave you the info says it's OK.

It's HIS decision who he's shared with. If he wants to go on fan950 and talk to all those Nuggets fans, that's his choice. If he wants to post on 20 other boards that's his choice. If he wants to write articles for the newspaper or espn.com that's his choice. But if he chooses only to share his info here and then somebody goes and puts it on the radio, after he's said that what he says shouldn't "go public", they've disrespected his choice.

even if i restrict the board to members, anyone could just register an account to read.
edit: if we do get ai or another big trade comes along i will definintely make this board members only (temporarily).
