1) I feel that the board should be free of basic hostility, and everyone should be treated with respect. Just because some of us are 18, and chock full of testosterone, doesn't mean you have to rip JP because he has a long, different opinion of the game - basically everything. Different generations. Don't diss him for that. He believes in the logo on the front rather than the number on the back. You can argue with him - and I DO sometimes -I think the coach needs to befriend and cater to the players a bit. Rally them. Be their friend. Friends don't EFF friends. The coach, in my opinion - and experience, if the team believes in him, and he's liked will get better results. We were playing lacrosse at a Summer Camp up in Boulder. Our coach in High School? Extremely boring. Brilliant with X's and O's ... but doesn't understand the whole adrenaline - game time - thing. So we go to this camp, and we have a new coach... we don't even know this guy. We're a bunch of lanky white kids from Regis, and he's the black head coach at Greyland Prep (our lacrosse nemesis through 9th grade) ... there weren't many black players, let alone coaches. And some of the kids on our team are snobbish b*****es. This guy... and I don't know how, got us more amped up for a meaningless summer game, than we ever were for our other coach. It showed. We ran faster, we hit harder. I suppose there's a difference between 'like' and getting 'amped up' before the games - a coach can be somewhat disliked, but still amp up their players... Karl used a word - he called out the staff - "Who is your GENERAL, Kiki, or Me?" Sure, there may be ranking soldiers above you, but the decisions come from me, etc blah blah blah. He REALLY should have handled it differently, and more tactfully - but Karl seems like a 'blunt' fellow. Note his various verbal sparring matches with star players from his past teams. Note the financial condition he left them in. Note the condition Issel left us in. Coaches get desperate, and make stupid deals that don't make sense in the future (Keon Clark - well liked, pre-pothead/ crazy days - for Willis. And if Karl nixed the Pierce or the Artest trade, he has earned ...

2) DON'T BE AFRAID TO POST. There are dozens, if not hundreds of people a day who come here for Nuggets news, or to chat about the team. We should encourage new posters, instead of flaming them away. 3) Do away with the Karma thing. It seems very juvenile. I dissed CLN twice last week. JUST FOR FUN. YEAH, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA TO NOW, PUNK? I'M CALLING YOU OUT. CLN is my boy. We back each other against the morons known as Raps, Knicks and Bulls fans on RealGM.

3) Do away with the Karma thing. I totally agree. I see this same "reputation" stuff on other boards and think its stupid there too. This isn't supposed to be some kind of popularity contest like the 7th grade lunchroom.

4) Be a TAD more lenient with the rules. It shouldn't blank out the name of one of the top picks in the draft because it's a synonym for 'homosexual.'
Don't be so strict about moving topics - although right now it helps because there's posts all over the boards - whereas during the season, we mainly post on the Nuggets Talk boards. So this isn't really much of a complaint at all.
Anyone else have anything else to add?
Anyone disagree with anything?
P.S. Thanks to Rock and our regulars who put this site together. Normally the first time news pops up, it's here first. You Aussies are fast. And I love the foreigners too. Different flavor... like how you guys are all going nuts over soccer right now, and the US doesn't really care. Maybe if our team was decent. Scoring one goal as a team in the entire tourney is sad.
DEANO, MAD-RO, CARA, PLANARIA - anyone else I forgot ... this means you.
OLD SCHOOL FOLKS COME BACK. Rock - go round up Churro and Fats and that whole group, and get them on here. Weekly. They've made me cry before. I'm pretty sure they began the "God Bless Dan Issel" thread, as he slowly set our team back a decade.

I think your posts should be judged on the credence of their character, rather than who has the most internet buddies on the board. Who did I jack that premise from? THE KARMA IS RACIST. IT MAKES YOU PRE-JUDGE POSTS BASED ON SUBJECTIVE OPINIONS. ROCK, IF YOU DON'T FIX THIS BLATANT INTERNET RACISM... I might just have to invite you back to Boulder for more fun.

I suppose I'll get labeled as a dick again, but this is one of my pet peeves and I really don't care who thinks I'm a dick. Racism has a very well defined definition. It involves not only judging someone because they are of a differenct race, but also acting on that and treating them differently than you would someplace else. Sexism is gender specific. To even in jest suggest that reputation can be even remotley compared to racism isn't right. I don't like the rep thing. It's always been stupid to me. I don't even look at it.

4) Be a TAD more lenient with the rules. It shouldn't blank out the name of one of the top picks in the draft because it's a synonym for 'homosexual.' its an automatic filter. no one is doing that on purpose. i only moved a couple repetitive draft threads to the draft forum. i might move some of these current threads when the season gets closer and we get more activity so that we can find them easier later on. well the aussies have an advantage because they get the news before us - right now its saturday over there, but its only friday here. they live in the future. i bet they have flying cars too. churro wont be posting here any time soon. as for fats, dunno whats up with him.

I think the karma should only stay in place for stooge & zigns . . . its always fun to "own" every post they put up/if they put up posts. Without it, I would have no reason to glance at their posts

I can live without it.

It was a bad trade at the time, but when you say Keon pre-pothead...you mean like when he was in elementary school? Keon was a pothead...not that there's anything wrong with that...(at least) from the first minute he entered college until the last time he failed to show for an NBA tryout, including every minute he was a Nugget. No idea what the whole karma thing is you're talking about. As per old-timers who follow the Nuggets, as far as internet freaks go, they don't get any older than me.
