Less than a week away to show that Jalen Pickett and Hunter Tyson are not worth NBA roster spots ...hopefully both of them will be waived before the preseason ends

How is there no talk of the roster imbalance in Denver?
With Watson already banged up it's going to be interesting to see who plays on wings off bench
After the 9 man rotation the 10th 11th 12th guys would be Cancar Nnaji and Jordan probably
But Tyson, Pickett or Alexander could play
Kinda good Watson banged up to see who will even play off bench now.
I guess they'll go
Russ Strawther Tyson Vlatko Saric
But there's a chance they could play Nnaji or even Deandre/saric/vlatko

Jokic 2. Murray 3. Gordon 4. Porter 5. Braun Bench rotation: 6. Westbrook 7. Saric 8. Watson 9. Strawther 10. Cancar Situational: 11. Nnaji/Jordan depending on matchup 12. Nnaji/Jordan 13. Alexander Break glass in case of emergency: 14. Hall 15. Pickett (only because we're so shallow at guard) 16. Tyson 17. Jones (only behind Pickett and Tyson because I've literally never seen him play, if he's 1/10th of an NBA player he vaults ahead of those two easily) 18. Holmes (out for season)

You think they'll go
Russ Strawther Vlatko Saric Nnaji/Jordan
As bench lineup in preseason then? Cause Watsons out for preseason
Wing depth is very shallow if Vlatko can't play SF so there's a chance one of alexander pickett tyson play. I'd hope it's Alexander next man up but could be any of them

Vlatko can and will play SF in the regular season. Preseason rotation doesn't matter.
If Watson isn't ready for the start of the season the rotation doesn't really change. It just means more minutes for Gordon, Porter, Cancar, Strawther, and Braun.
Half a dozen guys would have to go down before I'd put Tyson into a meaningful situation. I'd say the same about Pickett but we literally don't have that many bodies at guard.

I think Tyson is a Watson injury away from playing. But we will see what they run.
Jordan Saric double big off bench with Vlatko SF?
I'd like to see Tyson get a look early in preseason or they need to move on, same as Pickett.
Nnaji and Jordan are the 11th and 12th men but both are bigs. For that reason Tyson, Pickett or Alexander can come out and win 11th spot and win minutes if they can hit shots.
I'd like to see Russ and Alexander play together too this week.
A lot of teams are built to play small vs Denver but Denver just has only spent assets up front lately it is crazy.

A lot of teams are built to play small vs Denver but Denver just has only spent assets up front lately it is crazy. They are only going to run 10 or 11 guys at most in the non-garbage time minutes. The forward and center rotation will be Jokic, Gordon, Porter, Saric, Watson, and Cancar. Saric will be the first big off the bench and he'll replace either Gordon or Jokic as the situation dictates. Watson is Porter's backup in most contexts. Porter will also sometimes slide to the PF. Cancar mops up all remaining minutes. In some contexts Nnaji or Jordan will get minutes, but not many if everyone is healthy. They are next in line if someone does get hurt, but otherwise they're situational defensive stoppers and short term foul trouble subs. Behind them is PJ Hall. We don't know what we have in Jones, so I won't write him off until I see him play. Tyson is firmly behind everybody else, though. The guard rotation is very obvious. It's Jamal and Russ at PG, CB and Strawther at SG, and Alexander is your emergency sub. Pickett is unplayable and none of our forwards can swing to the SG spot, so we're just basically screwed if someone goes down. Keep in mind that regardless of how many games they actually play the trio of Hall, Alexander, and Jones can only be active for a maximum of 50 regular season games. We cannot pencil them into a permanent rotation spot, they are here for emergency depth and garbage time situations. We can't bring them to the playoffs or use them to solve long term problems.

How bad is Watson’s hammy? All I’ve heard and read is that he isn’t going on the 17 hour flight due to it. I haven’t heard that he’s out for entire preseason, and Watson said nothing about it during his media day presser. Maybe he hurt it in practice this past week?

I haven't seen anything about it at all. We have almost a month before the season starts, so if he were hurt badly enough to bleed into that timeline I think there'd be a lot more news coming out. And even if he does have to miss a week or two of the regular season, forward is the position we're most equipped to weather a loss. Even without Holmes we're overstocked.

PF is stocked but players who can play SF is not. Especially if MPJ playing some PF.
Watson Cancar Braun Strawther Russ would be the guys playing the SF and SG minutes
With a lot of teams playing guards it opens up possibility Russ and Strawther both get a lot of minutes this year

If they didn't sign Nnaji I think they'd have had MLE to sign Melton or something and this roster is way more solid. They badly need trade Nnaji
But looking around there's probably no Nnaji trade out there so they probably carry this roster imbalance forward.
Nnaji extension, trade for holmes and sign saric and retain Vlatko and DJ
Don't understand the Holmes move, PF was not a need. Badly needed something at guard/wing. Luckily alexander is legit late 1st round level prospect

We probably won't play Braun or Strawther much there given our total lack of guard depth, but still. Tyson and Jones are last in line for minutes, and if Jones is semi-competent he'll be ahead of Tyson too.

That is not what he said at all. All he said was that he's hitting shots in practice.

Tyson was getting run in main scrimmage in all the clips

Tyson was getting run in main scrimmage in all the clips Between Gordon, Porter, Watson, Saric, Cancar, Nnaji, Strawther, and Braun which one is Hunter Tyson better than? The answer is none, and it's not even close, and that's why he won't be a rotation player this year. Knowing Malone he'll try to play Russ and Jamal together sometimes which will slide Braun/Strawther to the 3 leaving even fewer extra minutes. If everyone is healthy even Cancar might struggle to get consistent minutes. Most nights it will be the starters, Saric, Westbrook, Strawther, and Watson getting the overwhelming majority of the minutes. Cancar is the guy to soak up anything on the margins, and Zeke/DJ/Trey are next in line behind him.
