Win this game and the odds of finishing 1 increase big time. Would basically come down to the Minnesota game. Nuggets lock up a top 3 seed with a win as well.
On paper only difficult game left after this is Minnesota. But 3 on the road still.
Go Celtics. Go Nuggets.

Absolutely no excuse to lose this game with no Kawhi and the way Harden has been playing lately. I'm hoping Jamal returns for this one because it's such an important game and he has to get his feet under him before the playoffs. 5 games of play is probably the sweet spot as seeding could be locked up for Game 82.

Plus there are six days (?) between the final game of RS and first game of Round 1, giving Jamal even more time to feel his best. If he is good to go, play him until seeding is locked in.

Nuggets have the best 5 man lineup that has played at least 20 games together this year.
Our starting 5 is 35-10, which is a .778 winning percentage.
The Celtics starting 5 is 28-8, which is also a .778 winning percentage but in fewer games.
OKC's starting 5 is 44-17, which is .721
Minnesota's starting 5 is 29-13 or .690, so they actually have a better record with 1 or more starters out.
Milwaukee's starting 5 is 25-13 or .658

Jamal being out is an excuse. The drop off on offense is dramatic when heâs not in the lineup. Not quite as bad as Jokic, but this is a different team when Murray is playing.

I assume this is the shin splint management thatâs keeping him out. My understanding is itâs not going to heal until the offseason. Itâs gonna be something to watch when the playoffs start where heâs going every other nightâŚlikely longer series than last year with the gauntlet that is the WC

Seems he's been out way longer than necessary, and as you said, it's shin splints and won't actually heal by playoff time whaat is the advantaage of sitting him unless it's something else.

They've been pretty transparent that it's 3 different issues (knee inflammation, turned ankle, shin splints) and that he's been improving and is expected back before the end of the regular season. Malone 5 days ago: âI do think he will be back on the court before the playoffs start. I donât think this is a nine-game injury where he doesnât play for the rest of the season.â He was doubtful for several games but has been upgraded to questionable while Zeke is still listed as doubtful. The guys on Altitude radio yesterday described his pregame workout as quite intense.

Jamal seems to be a game time decision, and Zeke has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable.

Play him against Atlanta, rest him against Utah, play him against Minnesota, and then probably rest him the last two. Just let him knock the rust off a bit.
