I'm just glad he hit some shots from inside the arc tonight. He was on a serious Davon Reed streak from 2.

He’s been fine tonight, and takes too much s**t from JB and others around here.

MPJ disappearing act ruined my parlay. But did bet blazers to cover the 10

Absolutely have to foul if Ag misses both

I'm really happy Reggie occasionally looked decent against the Rip City Rerun or whatever the gleague name is.

Why have we just allowed Scoot to just walk to the basket for easy buckets?
Closing out games has been something brutal lately.

Anytime you win a road game without your 2 best players, it's a major f***ing win. Great job by the boys tonight.
Win + got Murray/Jokic rest. Phenomenal. Go Milwaukee.

I'm taking the nephews to the game against the Griz on Monday so hopefully Joker and Jamal play for them.

In postgame presser, Malone said that other than Reggie and CB, he doesn’t know who he will play off the bench in the playoffs. Also said CB is the only guy on the bench he doesn’t have to worry about how hard he will play from night to night.
Maybe don’t read into these comments, but they sound like backhand slaps at Watson, and shows Malone is starting to doubt him for postseason.

when Braun was going through his sophomore slump, it certainly *appeared* like he wasn't giving effort every night, and I don't think the benefit of hindsight was required to realize his confidence level cratering had a lot to do with it.
this type of approach towards a struggling young player is counter productive and would get another coach with a less stellar reputation labelled toxic.

JB, I think I am safe in saying that Malone knows Watson far better than you or any of us do.

We've got 11 games before the playoffs and then at least four days of rest before the first round begins. Watson has time to figure it out, just as Braun figured it out. I have faith in the kid and I believe we'll see him in the playoff rotation.
And like I've been saying, Reggie can be serviceable if he can just attack the rim effectively. He did so tonight, and that's what he was doing when he was playing well earlier in the season. Get some layups, get some pull up short jumpers/floaters, get to the free throw line.

He basically went from High School to not playing basketball for 2 years to being an NBA rotation player. barely played at UCLA, barely played his rookie year. He's been REALLY bad lately though. I don't care about his offense because that's going to come and go. When he's hitting shots it's just a bonus. But he's had no impact defensively recently. Zero.

I don’t think Malone is going the “Boneshead route” with Watson, but I could see his minutes getting cut significantly. Watson does still get blocks, but he is getting shot over, is out of position more often, fails to box out too often, and is not getting steals. His offense is in a bad place. Probably hit a virtual rookie wall, and can’t be trusted in postseason unless he shows he’s grinding through the wall in the final 11 games.

Point of clarification, Malone didn't say that Braun was the only guy he could count on to play hard. He said "There's one guy I never have to worry about". It was specific praise for Braun, but he wasn't saying nobody else off the bench plays hard. I don't think anyone could question whether guys like DJ or Holiday are playing hard regardless of results.
