It didn't look super serious, I wouldn't be surprised if they just sit Jamal a couple games and he's ready for the Clippers.

Looked like the team just didn't care in the first half. I said during halftime that if they decided they wanted to impose their will on the game, it'd be a 10 point lead by the end of the third. Which is exactly how this team rolls. They can steamroll almost every team in the league when they try, and especially a bad Bulls team.
Joker was a +33 and had a Sombor Double. GG.

Good win. Hope Jamal gets back soon Murray will be fine as he may miss a few games but he typically does most seasons anyway. All this may do is set him back a tad from making the All-Star game or All-NBA team but those were unlikely anyway. I'd love for him to get those, but only so he can get supermax. And I hope he gets at least one All-NBA in his career. Outside of that, don't really care about individual rewards.

CG has been sticky on defense, getting right through every screen attempt. Hasn't found his 3 stroke yet though. I DID THIS

Jamal looked like he had a flu. Dude was literally winded and heaving 5 mins into the first quarter. Didn’t look like that at the start of the season at all - I don’t doubt he’s a little banged up, but I think he has the flu (which would explain the poor shooting for a few games now).
DJ is really washed. We need a better big-bodied backup C when we face Minnesota in May. Would Chicago accept a 2nd round pick for Drummond (or just straight cash?).
Otherwise - Solid win! Great to see mpj back!

Agreed. Drummond is one of the few centers left in the game who makes mincemeat out of skinny centers. Why play Zeke, risking injury, when you've got someone who can deal with a giant?

Murray will be fine as he may miss a few games but he typically does most seasons anyway. And I hope he gets at least one All-NBA in his career. Outside of that, don't really care about individual rewards. I also hope Jamal can get one or both of those accomplishments, but realistically that is pretty unlikely. He would need to show numbers closer to his playoff stats but since Malone isn't playing Jamal 40+ mpg in the regular season...it seems less likely that is happening. Given that, All-NBA is probably the least likely as the move toward the positionless format to fill 15 spots will seriously hurt Jamals chances. I love having Jamal on this team but he's not a top 15 player (wouldn't even put him as top 25). Maybe enough other players fail to get to 65 games to where Jamal can sneak into the 3rd team. Then again given his history not sure he will even meet the required 65 games. Getting in the All-Star game also doesn't look the best given Luka, Steph, SGA, Fox, Booker, Edwards, and maybe even Kyrie and Ja likely sitting ahead of Jamal in the west. Best angle for Murray would be enough of those guys get injured to where Jamal could be an injury replacement, otherwise I don't see it unless his numbers explode in the next 1-2 months.

G-League season starts in a week.
Who do you think the Nuggets send down and for how long? Last year Watson and White got about 20 starts each.

CG getting his flowers from the local media and his team mates: denvergazette.com/sports/denver-nuggets/collin-gillespies-success-no-surprise-to-nuggets-teammates-same-cant-be-said-of-his-parents/article_e037a828-7bbf-11ee-9551-17594b2d8cf4.htmlwww.denverpost.com/2023/11/04/jamal-murray-hamstring-injury-collin-gillespie/His parents were asleep when he got into the game last night. Reggie Jackson on Collin: “He gets it, He’s locked in. He’s holding — sometimes myself and older guys — accountable for the work that we’re putting in, for being ready, what our game plan is. So, you could tell early he just gets it. He knows. I don’t know if he had a job young or what it is, but he understands what it means to have a role and to be a star in your role and to be able to hold people accountable. His tenacity is fire.” DJ: “He can be a very, very solid player in this league for a long time. That’s my guy. He’s a hard worker, man. Collin has overcome a lot of (crap). Obviously, he had a pretty bad injury last year that had him out the entire season, but he didn’t complain. He didn’t make excuses. He worked his ass off. He had a great Summer League. He’s been a great pro the entire time. A lot of young guys, their attitude probably would be different if they weren’t playing. This league is very surprising, you know what I’m saying? Like, obviously, he probably didn’t think he was going to play tonight, and he came in and helped us win the game.”
