Tony Brothers sucks but I don’t think he has it out for Denver. Went back and looked since 2017. Tony Brothers is like the second or third best official for Denver. Record is over .800. Through 2022 it was 14-2. Both games he tossed Jokic Denver won going away and both were over when he tossed him. MPJ usually has Payne or Booker guarding him, frankly I have no idea why this is not an advantage for us this series The size advantage is great for him to get his shot off. He had a couple of bad live ball turnovers on drives in the first half on Friday and I think that had something to do with his teammates not looking for him so much for awhile. Porter still needs to keep it simple on offense and go with catch and shoot as much as possible. |

There is every reason to think this will be another tough game to win. The Suns know their situation — they sacrificed the future to go all in on the present. Paul turned 38 yesterday and Durant turns 35 in September. Aside from Ayton — who doesn’t like Monty Williams — their players know the clock is ticking and fast and want to try to win it all now, which this team is capable of doing. The Suns players gave 100% in games 2 and 3 and I expect more of the same today.

For all the talk of parity and this season being “wide open” it looks like in the end, it’ll all just finish with the way the nba has always been. Same
Big markets and big names all finishing on top
Besides us it’s heat, Knicks, Philly, Boston, golden state, lakers and suns
The Knicks are the outlier but still biggest market in the league
The nba ends up getting exactly what it wants all along. Nothing has changed.
Lebron/curry vs durant. Heat/Celtics/sixers. Silver loves this

If one of KD or DB can shoot 80%fg like Booker did in game 3 it'll be really, really tough. The problem is that KD is due to a high FG % game and Booker is due to a bad game. But whatever they did, it didn't matter so far. Our destiny is in Jamals hands. Jokic somehow won us game 2 (luckily) but unfortunately 30/17/17 on 58% fg couldn't save us in game 3 as Jamal simply sucked. When he's not hitting his shots at a high clip he's a useless player and we're playing 4 on 5 which is killing the rest of the crew.

Murray has a .166 WS/48 through the 8 playoff games. Its not elite like Jokic. But let me give you this bit of perspective — its better than that of Lebron James, Joel Embiid and Jayson Tatum for the playoffs so far. Have you been watching other teams in the playoffs? I understand this perspective if one is only comparing Murray’s play to that of Jokic, Booker and Durant. But trust me, Murray has been very good overall — every bit as good as a lot of the league superstars. |

Murray played well for the most part but missed pretty much all of his 4th quarter shots. Tired legs. He needs to not work so hard and move the ball around. The shots will come. His play makes me exhausted.
