I think Paul's done. A pulled groin is usually like 4-12 weeks, but that's for guys in their 20's, not 38 year old. Sadly, he might not even be ready to start next season.
A part of me wishes Paul would've stayed healthy. They weren't beating us with him and it made winning even more satisfying. Plus, I do see this as a chance for the Suns to get a boost. Payne's done it in the playoffs before. He was a pretty big part of their run in the 21 playoffs. The Nuggets need to stay just as sharp defensively as they were in games one and two. This isn't an opportunity to relax.

This isn't an opportunity to relax. I will say - Payne entered Game 2, with very fresh legs, and Phoenix went on a major tear in the 4th quarter with a total amount of points of.... 14. Your point is well-taken, but looking at the 4th quarter stats makes me think that Payne has fallen off a cliff (or is injured himself). It also means more mins for Landry Shamet - which is wonderful. I agree about Paul getting injured - but believe me brother (I say this as a former Clippers season tixs holder) a Paul injury during the playoffs is now a guarantee. I'm pretty sure he sees the writing on the wall for this suns team and isn't in a rush to come back to the evisceration that awaits.

Super nervous for this one. That Phoenix crowd is next level when they go on a big run. Jamal HAS to hit his open shots and be better in terms of setting up screens. Jokic has to do a better job screening as well.
If Murray can get free and get downhill I don't think the Suns can keep up with us offensively.

even if the Suns have the advantage in this game, just keep it close. don't give the Suns hope that the series is shifting towards their favor. if they do win, make it feel like they stole one from us.

Bruce Brown being one of the most hyped role players during these playoffs is great, don't get me wrong. but it really moved the likelihood of him leaving from 95% to 100% lol

Bruce is going to get a solid 15M contract IMO. I think that's an overpay but he's definitely worth that in a playoff series. He's a perfect role player but he's not a good enough player to be a 3rd or 4th option obviously. His role in Denver is literally perfect for him. It's a shame we can't offer him 12M

no CP3... we need to get this one. guys will either go out with "no CP3? its easy!" attitude, or "no CP3? we dont care who plays" attitude. if its later, Suns stand no chance. we need not only to play better, we need to want it more. thats how you become champion and this is a chance to go over another hurdle.

Last year, Slo Mo signed a 2 year 18 million dollar deal, GPII signed for 3 year, 28 million, Monk signed for 2 years 18 million. These guys are worth about as much as Brown - I think he signs another 1 plus 1 unless one of the few teams with cap space gets really desperate

I think Monk is definitely as talented, but my sense is that there has been a perception in the league that his bball iq and character are sub-optimal. The other guys are less talented, although Slo Mo can be a good bench player in the right role, which is PF (kinda like a Bjelica or Diaw).

GPII was talked about as a plucky defender during the Warriors run the same way Braun is now, but none of the players mentioned were being called the most underrated player in the league and integral part of their team like Bruce is being talked about in literally every broadcast about the Nuggets.
he's gone.

True, yes, last year, best Bruce could get is taxpayer MLE. If you look at what he did last year in Brooklyn, he also had a good year, even had better fg%, 3 point %, rebounds and blocks per game than this year with the Nugs. I do not doubt his stock is up but there is a real ceiling on guards that average 11 points per game. Hopefully, the 15 mil per contract he is likely hoping for fails to materialize if say Harden signs with Rockets and Brooks goes to the Pistons. Right now, I think, there are only 7 teams who are projected to have capspace Rockets - Will be looking to spend on win now players, but hopefully they go big game hunting Spurs - A wildcard who may look to take on contracts for more picks Jazz - Ainge is not giving a big deal to Bruce, do not see that. Thunder - Backcourt is full with SGA, Giddey and Dort. But, maybe? Pistons - A wild card. Hopefully, they go after someone like Grant or Brooks Pacers - A wild card, but backcourt is pretty full with Tyrese, Mathurin, Nembhard, McConnell, Hield, and Duarte. Magic - They have Fultz at point and off the bench Cole Anthony and Suggs, not to mention Gary has a team option for 12.5 - if that is declined, Gary needs to come home

Maybe you are right, but this what was being said of Brown a year ago 1 year ago – via Net Income @ NetsDaily Woj also spoke just how important Bruce Brown’s play after the Philly trade could be for him. “Obviously, Bruce Brown has had a tremendous season,” Woj noted. “He’s looking like a 12, 13, 14 million dollar player in this marketplace.
