yeah, I genuinely expect that in about a month -- right about when the regular season should have been ending -- we'll be down to "yeah, there are some cases, but it's not really that severe" levels and will start to see pro sports being played, though perhaps not with fans for a while after. Players + required personnel are a lot safer than 20,000 fans (those of you who know me on facebook have hopefully read my post on disease propagation.) Lets hope so man. I don't really care about basketball that much in the grand scheme of things but I really hope they get this s**t under control. Way too many people are taking a "it won't kill me so who cares" type approach without realizing all the bad things that type of POV can cause. If everyone just acts with extra caution for about a month, the virus should slow down pretty quickly. The problem is, there's a lot of really dumb people in the United States lol

I'm surprised by how quickly people have picked up on the term "flatten the curve". Like as soon as March Madness and NBA started saying "no crowds" and then "cancel games" people were like "oh this s**t is serious" and then that catchphrase and some graphics about not overwhelming the healthcare system came out and people were like "ohhhhhh maybe we should... not... do like Italy and Iran"

Literally all it takes is a few weeks of people simply being responsible, cautious adults. The cancellation of schools would be super, super important as we know kids aren't great with regards to keeping their hands clean. I just think there's a ton of things that can be done to really "flatten the curve" it just comes down to people not having really careless mindsets.

People will only respond to a good marketing campaign. We've been trained so well.

This is my not surprised face at one ownership group in particular avoiding this list. I'm sure a big part of it is how many teams they own, but it kind of speaks to the broader point with these guys. The Nuggets will always just be one of many teams on a balance sheet. The football team is the only one who will get real TLC because the upside is the highest there. All of the other teams get the bare minimum.
Comical that players are the ones stepping up here.

teams like the Grizzlies/Pistons/Hawks are really putting teams like the Nuggets, 76ers and Heat to shame. bottom of the league in attendance yet their owners can still find the money to provide some level of security to their workers during a pandemic.

How much could it possibly cost to cover arena workers for a month?

How much could it possibly cost to cover arena workers for a month? Probably less than .1% of Stans net worth. Matt did follow up a few hours ago though and said he thinks something is coming soon with the Kroenke's

I can't be the only one that believes the Kroenkes would go deep into the luxury tax if we could legitimately land a second superstar
