Sounds like this might be the last Nuggets game we watch for a while. Decision expected tomorrow on whether the NBA will go on a hiatus or play in empty arenas.

Same starting lineup once again. Wondering what does Grant has to do more...
Edit: I love uncle Paul. But would prefer to see him as 6th man/Center going forward. Esp in the PO.

Grant won't be starting this year outside of the playoffs. As long as he's finishing most games over Millsap I don't really see an issue.

I don't see him starting the games engaged and more aggressive (more FGA and plays for him). He will gladly defer to Millsap on ISO post ups and operate above 3 point line. That's my problem with Millsap starting. Setting the tone of the game, the way we play and Jokic especially. Edit: With Grant as starter, Jokic is spending more time in the post and Grant's presence only is improving our pace of the play on both ends of the floor (especially transition defense).

Jokics issues have 0 to do with Millsap and everything to do with Jokic. He played next to Millsap in the playoffs last year and had 0 issues. He's just mentally checked out or load managing.

We've been there already Ring. Yes, it has to do a lot with Jokic being disengagement but also disgruntled, because he is forced to play outside of his comfort zone, being DHO/Crash dummy above the 3 point line (in order to prevent turnovers and improve transition defense).
If both Jokic and Millsap are in the paint and we miss a shot and don't collect OREB, it's instant 2 points on the other end.

I think it's almost entirely because he doesn't want to wear out his body. The wear and tear on his body from banging in the post for like 25+ games when everyone was hurt on top of the busy ASB...guy probably just wants to chill for a bit. I wish he wouldn't but I get it.

Ring, pay attention on each 3 point shot we take, Jokic and Millsap instantly starts going back. We are not attacking OREB and 2nd chance points anymore.

Gorgeous offensive basketball so far. Consistently hitting the open man on every single possession.

Malone is probably having guys crash less so we can get back in transition easier. We've seen MPJ crashing the boards less too. It has to be to protect those transition baskets.

Easy to exploit any defense that has Boban in the lineup unless they play in zone. Boban can be effective on D only in zone. Also there is no worry of transition with him on the floor
