scooter your missing two giant caveats in your summary of the 12 season.
1. our best offensive player and go-to in the clutch tore his knee to shreds before the playoffs
2. we had the misfortune of running into the dynasty in the making Warriors in the first round

Scooter, you just wrote a disingenuous comment! Shocked, I tell ya!
Why? You left out the trade of Iverson for Chauncey Billups, which resulted in an NBA Finals contender. In fact, we were one game away from the Finals. If not for AC throwing away an inbounds pass, we might have gotten there. The next year, we likely would have gone deep in playoffs too, except Karl caught his cancer and Adrian Dantley couldn’t get us past Utah.
Two years of top nitch teams in 2009 and 2010, though it didn’t get us quite there.
Then, you also left out the AAA for Barton/pick (Beasley) trade, ridding us of a rapidly declining player before Portland knew it. It’s why I want us to at least try to unload Harris and his $57.5 million remaining on his contract in the next month, hopefully for more offensive production.
Just because we messed up with Iggy (and letting Masai go, and firing Karl in favor of Shaw, but I digress) doesn’t mean we should have the yips now. If bringing in a Jrue or a Love, in fact, neither can bolt after a season, which might be a good or bad thing, depending on what you think of their production outlook and contracts.
It’s a wide open West. We gotta at least try to do something to move the needle. I’m not being disingenuous. This year is an honest to goodness opportunity to do something special. At my age, there won’t be too many more opportunities like this in my lifetime with a conference that is there for the taking!

Barton’s an average player. Fans here overrate him, as all fans do with their team’s guys. But he has improved from the hot garbage he was last year after he returned from injury.

But I don't think Iggy stays no matter what happened in the playoffs that year. He was recruited to go to the Warriors by a few of his religious friends on that team, and more personal access to Silicon Valley investment opportunities (making money has always been important to him) was a draw for him in addition to the championship roster and religious camaraderie. Anyway, if Gallo and Chandler had stayed healthier and the Nuggets had done better in the post-Melo era, it would have just made the "non-consolidation" side of the Melo trade even stronger on the ledger.

Garris, Juancho and a first for Gallo That's a tough one. I might do it. We take in a little more salary than we give, but if we could send Malik for a TPE and a pick to reroute to OKC, I might do it. Nugs are about 900k under the lux tax, but may go over as a couple of guys get bonuses if we make it to the 2nd round, e..g., www.spotrac.com/nba/denver-nuggets/paul-millsap-2754/I am expecting Nugs to try to shave off a 1 mil. or so from the books at the deadline.

Re: trading Harris
The Nuggets recent shooting woes are due to a lot of guys going cold at the same time. On threes, Barton shot 30.8% in December and is at 25% for January. Millsap only played 3 games in January and made 0 threes in those 3 games. On threes, Murray shot 31.1% in December and is at 29% in January. Harris: 33.3% in December; 19.2% in January. Over the past 6 weeks, outside shooting has been very bad for all of Harris, Murray and Barton, but Murray and Barton are better playmakers and also create and make more shots closer to the basket.
Fortunately, Jokic got hot and some other guys (Morris, Grant, Porter) also trended up, and that helped compensate.
My suspicion is that the obvious increased defensive effort by the starting perimeter players in October and November took a physical toll. That makes some sense to me given that: 1) their defensive metrics for the first 6 weeks (especially Barton and Murray) were way above normal for them, and 2) all three of Murray, Barton and Harris got cold after the first 6 weeks of the season. There's a reason why players who are accustomed to deep playoff runs every season don't go 100% throughout the regular season -- it's not sustainable.

Trade could be coming soon. This is the first game I haven't seen Juancho or Malik in the box score.

Total f***ing lie.
Memphis saw Grant’s D on doncic and Kawhi. Called and offered The Mole for him. We said no.
Mole’s people are hyping this up hoping it actually causes Denver fans to pressure TC to trade for him.
f**k you, Iguodala.

I call bullshit on that rumor.
Someone with minimal followers touting an asinine idea for social media clout.
Even his website snapshot he posted as "proof" I have never seen around before.
