I think it's :
n. team name (% of 1st seed votes) (% of 2nd seed votes) (% of 3rd seed votes) and so on ...
but if that means LA Clippers had 66% of votes for the 1st I would think that it's way too much in this packed western conference where anything can happen.

Denver won't be a deep PO team until there is an average level starting SF.
Top teams have good starters at all 5 positions.

Denver won't be a deep PO team until there is an average level starting SF. Top teams have good starters at all 5 positions. All good teams have a weak spot. Even the Warriors recently were fairly weak at the 5. It's just a matter of that weakest link knowing their role and having a system that allows them to not get totally exposed.

I think this means TC will start at 3 for now.

I think this means TC will start at 3 for now. If I had to guess, this means Barton is not starting, he's mad, and Malone is trying to ease the tension.

or this is Malone telling Barton you have 20-30 games to regain form or I'm going with TC.
knowing Malone and the rope his gives his trust guys, I'm inclined to believe this theory.

I don’t see why it is necessary to use any one of the candidates on every game basis. Injuries, etc., force lineup changes all the time. And all of these SF candidates other than Grant (I am insisting he is a candidate to play “some” minutes at SF because, well, it makes sense that he would if we want the best players on the court) were on the Nuggets the last two seasons and have plenty of experience playing with the rest of our guys including the starters. Why not just make it an ongoing evaluation based on the relevant factors such as playing form, matchups etc.? Some teams (Rockets) start 3 guards and other teams have 6’9 Tobias Harris (along with 3 other starters 6’9” or taller on the 76ers) or 6’10” Paul George starting at SF. Since the Nuggets have options, why not use them?

Since the Nuggets have options, why not use them? Because of injuries? Sure. Adapting starting lineups to match up with other teams? Not so sure. Remember how much flak/hate Malone used to get for not having consistent rotations? Malone has evolved as a coach and I wouldn't expect him to try and tinker with rotations much, especially after the first 20 or so games. Last year iirc, he didn't tinker much unless an injury opened up a spot for a player and/or a player returned from injury and he wanted to try and improve the team (specifically: IT).

Torrey Craig didn't exactly play well though. Neither did Barton
It'd be Grant for me if I had to pick but we didn't even try that.
Net negative position for us

Torrey Craig didn't exactly play well though. Neither did Barton It'd be Grant for me if I had to pick but we didn't even try that. Net negative position for us I don’t think it has to be, and I disagree with the worry about set “rotations.” Popovich has long used his bench extensively. His players are all coached up and they use a cohesive system no matter who is on the court, although they change up sets and plays to accommodate differing personnel. I’ve seen many games where the Spurs used 12 or 13 players. In my view, the Nuggets need to make their depth a regular season strength. They can spread minutes around and play harder on defense than more top heavy teams that have to ration their energy to make it through the long season. And go big more with Porter, Juancho, and Grant all able to play SF, improving the team’s shot blocking, rebounding etc. In my view, that would force other teams — Utah for example — to change their lineups when the Nuggets are killing them on the boards. I like the idea of the Nuggets simultaneously having a lot of size and shooting ability. And flexibility to change up the lineup and cause matchup problems can be a strength. In the playoff series against the Blazers, Stotts realized that Hood and Collins and Turner were going to be more effective than Aminu and Harkless (who had started all season) against the Nuggets. Why be rigid and reject options you have on your roster?
