Nurkic is clearly Portland's 2nd best player and arguably their most important. I'd take him over Gobert who has no offensive game and is overrated defensively in all honesty

I know it would never have worked in Denver, but the fact that TC drafted Nurkic/Jokic outside of the lotto is pretty wild. I know alot of luck is involved, and people chalk up drafting Jokic to alot of luck, but to me it looks alot less "lucky" when TC showed the ability to scout two good European C's like that. Still probably too inconsistent to call Nurkic the 2nd best player on that team, and we'll see if he can stay healthy, but when he's on he's a beast. I wouldn't take him over Gobert but if he can stay healthy for a stretch of 4-6 seasons I wouldn't be shocked to see him make an All-Star game. |

No Jrue or any other difference-maker for a playoff run. Just dumped Beas and Juancho for scraps. |

Imagine Portland without Nurkic, CJ and Melo, Lakers without AD, Green and Pope, Utah without Mitchell, Bogdanovic and Ingles etc etc
Too much drama over one loss with more than half of the starters missing.
