This made me chuckle about Ball's camp saying he doesn't want to play in New Orleans:

This made me chuckle about Ball's camp saying he doesn't want to play in New Orleans: I literally think they know that they can pull this kind of s**t and it'll make teams say "we don't want to deal with that family" and he gets to stay in LA. It's not the first time they've done shot to try to make it harder for LA to trade him

It's likely the Pels hold Davis until the summer.
That said, Connelly will most assuredly make a call. Remember, just before coming to the Nuggets he was the Pelicans assistant GM to current Pelicans GM Del Demps. They worked with each other for 3 years.
IMO, for a Davis trade the only untouchable player is Jokic. That's it. Everything else is negotiable. A Jokic/Davis frontcourt pairing is too incredible not to pursue.
Even before this Davis news, I believe it is likely the Nuggets FO had begun a serious evaluation of what they need to do with the PF position going forward, as I think it is becoming increasingly clear we are watching the middle (we are well past the beginning) of the end with Millsap. He has scored less than 5 points in 3 of the last 4 games and has only 6 made threes in the 15 games in January. 34 is very close to the expiration date for a player like Millsap and Plumlee has continued to get time at PF even though Millsap returned from his toe injury 15 games ago.
With Millsap's expiring deal to offer, the team is in position to discuss even bigger deals for Davis and other players. ESPN won't want to mention the Nuggets, but they are in as strong a position as any team in terms of what they can offer. Maybe stronger if Porter had played some this season. Since the Kings pick is not turning into the high lotto pick everyone thought, the Celtics' tradeable "assets" don't blow anyone away (as the media has insisted), especially if they are not willing to trade their only really good young player, Jayson Tatum.

Has it stopped snowing AD ye?t (homage to AI trade discussion as many of you recall). Speaking of nostalgia, TC isn't gutless these days as evinced by his desperate entreaties to have the King hold court with the Nugs. Buckle your seatbelts, TC is going for the gold with AD

I have a feeling Danny Ainge is calling teams around the league with proposals like "trade Murray for AD and if he doesn't want to commit with the Nuggets, we'll trade Tatum and picks for AD either in the summer or next years deadline", just to keep him away from the Lakers.

I don’t trust ainge that much.

Rockets disproving Rocks theory tonight that no team in the West playoff race ever loses a game ever.

Pelicans did us a solid, so now we gotta take care of them by helping their lotto odds with a nice ass kicking tomorrow, and then we can also save them some salary by taking on AD.

Not sure if this hs been mentioned but is Monte in the rising stars game? No, but I think he would have gotten in had he been an international player. Heard he is the most popular guy on the squad - Monte will be around when the Nugs win it all
