This is defenitely our best chance at stealing one in LA, were rested and they arent, though like everyone else Im not completely sold that that is a good thing. I see us squeeking a close one out late or just getting completely demolished by them. GO THUGGETS If we get demolished by them on Tuesday, I don't see how we have a chance in this series. Think about it. We have rest and preparation time put in. We are 100% healthy. The Lakers are coming off of a game 7 and they've had little time to prepare. Odom is hurting. We get torched by them on Tuesday? I have little faith we'll make this a series, much less win it.

disagree.
if we get torched in game 1, lakers probably take us lightly in game 2 and we wont be as rusty in that game, everyone will be pissed...and should have a shot at it.
i think worst case would be a 1-9 point loss in which we play well (melo/billups shoot well, kmart/nene stay out of foul trouble). then we lose a good portion of the rest/scouting advantage, and the lakers have been rattled enough to take us seriously for the series.

That's hilarious. Someone's probably gonna get fired over that. There's no way the NBA changes their schedule. Then again, the WWE has about as many viewers... and it would probably be logistically easier to alter the WCF schedule than the WWE schedule.

I have a feeling we very well could win this series in at least 6 or 7... WE must play smart Defense, and Bird must not go for the Block every time... he needs to play smart d. His D can help us and if Dahntay steps up big time we can win... JR needs to have a great game, along with Nene, Melo and Billups... We must not turnover the ball in the Staples Center.

It just rarely ends up conflicting with the schedule.

Not expecting much from game 1, but it is surely winnable. The early start should tone down the home court advantage (less alcohol, people showing up late) and they are going to be a bit tired.
If we can keep it close into the 4th, we have a great shot at winning. We have the fresher legs an some of the best closers in the NBA.

Please god Nene play well, that is the number 1 key to success...If he can get Bynum and Gasol into foul trouble and Gasol exerting himself defesively we have a much better change of winning because Gasol offensive game has always suffered when people have taken it to him. Other thing that bothers me is birdman going for every block, Gasol kills teams with offensive rebounds from penetration...If indeed birdman does go for the block everytime we need JR, jones, billups and Carmelo to box out as a team. Those are the 2 things that scare me most about the game tomrow, Nene's effectiveness and Gasol's and Bynum's rebounding. I think if our bigs play their bigs even we win easy, if not....

Game 1 is going to be the easiest game to win in LA. Hell, we even managed to win a few Game 1's in the glory days with Miller in the backcourt.

On the WWE?Game 4 Conflict:
Nuggets, WWE in smackdown over arena confict
Posted May 18 2009 6:27PM
Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to be at the Pepsi Center in Denver next Monday night.
Problem is, so are John Cena and a bunch of wrestlers.
World Wrestling Entertainment says it is booked at the arena for an episode of Monday Night Raw, the same night the Nuggets are slated to host the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.
WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman says the organization secured the Pepsi Center last Aug. 15 and has already sold more than 10,000 tickets for the event. He says the organization expects a sellout, with tickets ranging from $20 to $70.
"Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the May 25th date for a potential playoff game," WWE chairman Vince McMahon said in a statement.
Denver is usually done with basketball by now. The Nuggets had lost in the first round five straight years, but as the No. 2 seed in the West are in the conference finals for the first time since 1985.
The Nuggets referred comment to the NBA, which handles scheduling during the playoffs. NBA spokesman Mark Broussard said the league was looking into the conflict.
Zimmerman said the Pepsi Center confirmed in March with the WWE that the organization wanted to keep the May 25 date, and sent a contract on April 15 -- the final night of the regular season -- which WWE signed and returned. Tickets went on sale April 11.
The conflict didn't arise until Sunday, when the Lakers beat the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals. Had the Rockets won, Denver would have had home-court advantage in the next round, hosting Games 1 and 2 and putting the May 25 game in Houston.
As of Monday afternoon, the schedule on the Pepsi Center's Web site listed WWE for 6:30 p.m. local time and Western Conference finals Game 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the wrestling event could still be purchased online.

Just open up your purse strings Kroenke and correct the f**k up. Vince would be insane to cancel his show. The best case I see out of this is Kroenke pays a crap load of money for the WWE to move the show up and tape it to be aired on Monday.
But couldn't the NBA and Nugz have looked at this and had that game scheduled another time?

Can't they just change the time of the game?

But seriously, was game 4 just absolutely dead set by the NBA forever ago? They couldn't have looked around to see schedules?

Can't they just change the time of the game? No. They usually are setting up for production and broadcasting for hours for these games. You can have different sporting events in the same building the same day like the Lakers early and Clipps late or a basketball and Hockey game the same day. But it takes like a full day at the least for the WWE to set up their set

Simple, have John Cena replace Danthay Jones and break Kobe in pieces, have Undertaker back up Nene and Birdman and lay down Fisher and their weak guards on the floor when they try a weak attempt
