no more public complaining after every post/thread you disagree with. there are more posts about complaints than real posts these days.  if you have a problem, simply PM me the link/quote and ill take care of it. |

I was about to say the same thig, seems like some NT Vets have a problem with everything and even though there are mods, there is no way to look in every thread.

You could just start a thread to report things as well. Then you or whichever Mod is online can get to it faster (plus it'd be less work than having everyone PM you). Although that would be public, but instead of complaining in threads it would be centralized to one location.

You could just start a thread to report things as well. I like this idea. I'd say, just provide a link to the offending post or posts and a vague description of the problem ("lots of insults" or "flamewar between A and B") and whatever mod is online can take a look at it. If you quote it, that just makes more work for us when we have to edit out the quote too. |

If I see people cussing at each other or generally spending more time on insults than on arguments, I'm going to edit out their posts. Will this make the board worse? In the short term, yes, because it'll spawn complaints from people whose posts are getting edited. In the long term, it'll either make them leave or make them chill out, which will eventually improve the board. I've seen it happen on plenty of boards.
I'm not here to fight you, pac. I'm just here to jump on the worst of the insults. If you want to cuss someone out or call them names, save it for chat, send it in a PM, or e-mail it; don't waste everyone's time and drag the quality of discussion down by posting it on the board.
