Embiid is definitely having the most stat-padded season in the history of the NBA. "Hurt" on the road against Boston, Denver, New Orleans, Miami, Minnesota, etc. Playing a trash team at home? Going back into the game up 25 in the 4th after an "injury" to chase his 30 points.

Embiid's MVP campaign concluded in Denver last night.
nobody will ever mistake a NBA journalist for Einstein but even the most obtuse among us can tell when they're being grifted if it's being shoved in their face. it's either Joker or SGA.

When he drops 50 against Portland tomorrow they will all be calling him the MVP again. The NBA media is trash.

It doesn't matter what the media says, Embiid won't play enough games to qualify.
He may be faking this current injury for ducking purposes but there is a 147% chance he gets hurt again for real before the season ends.

I've never once said anything about Embiid the human being. Everything is about Embiid the basketball player, and Embiid the basketball player deserves every bit of contempt James Harden ever got and more. They are emblematic of what is wrong with the NBA. Selfish, soft, grifting, disappearing foul merchants.
Predicting he will get hurt again is not wishing injury on him. It's just looking at what has happened in literally every single season of his pro and college basketball career. It's literally a 100% occurrence rate.

You aren’t restricting yourself to only Embiid the player. Everything you said above impugns the character of the person. Get a grip.

You aren’t restricting yourself to only Embiid the player. Everything you said above impugns the character of the person. Get a grip. Again, this is about what he does on the basketball court and nothing I said is particularly controversial. Do we not see him flailing around the court for fouls every single game? Do we not see him getting hurt (usually more than once) every single year of his pro and college basketball career? Do we not see him absolutely bury all of his teammates in the inevitable post-choke playoff press conference every single year? Do we not see him blatantly ducking tough road games? Do we not see him going back into blowout games games he already got hurt in so he can chase individual stat lines, then miss subsequent games? Not counting this current fake injury he did it twice already this season. Those are all basketball concerns and those all accurately describe Joel Embiid. To the best of my knowledge Embiid is a good dude away from basketball. Has a nice family, seems to be nice to the fans, doesn't seem to say stupid/bigoted things or get into legal trouble, gives back to the community. Not a single criticism coming his way from me in any of those areas. But on the court he can be better, and should be better, but he won't because he gets away with his nonsense.

Nuggets are still on the same pace as last year with only one less win. However, unlike last year ~53 wins may only get Denver the 3rd or 4th playoff position in the west. Going to be much harder to win without home court advantage this season.

Okc - at some point, they’re going to fatigue. Lac - see okc. Not worried.

Going to be much harder to win without home court advantage this season. The fact that there is a little more competition at the top this season might be good thing though. Last year we were 45-19 after beating Memphis at home, which is when the #1 seed was basically locked up. After that we coasted and finished 8-10. If we still have seeding and HCA to fight for the last few weeks of the season, there should at least be more focus and consistent play throughout. That combined with a pretty easy schedule post all-star break, and I could easily see flirting with that 57 win mark to maybe a new franchise record. Also, I just noticed we have a "home game" against the Spurs on 3/15...but it's going to be played in Austin, TX? Wtf is that about? (Edit: Nvm, it shows as a home game on ESPN, but it actually counts as one of our road games vs them as it should)
