Is there behind-the-scenes drama (per Jamal and the postgame interview)? He probably just wanted to ice his ankles. Looked like he had a brief moment of discomfort in the 2nd quarter.

Sounds reasonable, but the situation sounded unusual...

I just love watching Peyton Watson play. He has the chance to be a really special player. Has a lot of work to do but man...he really can be a star player in this league IMO I agree 100%. We're seeing the growth of some amazing talent on-the-bench. PWatt is amazing and growing up rapidly. The kid could be a star, and soon. Agreed. When you add PWat, a more experienced Christian Braun, and Reggie to last year's playoff rotation I think they could be even better; which is remarkable given how great they were in last year's play-offs.

I think they're already better, and that's amazing, because barring injury, they can keep improving.

Team is healthy with a favorable schedule between now and mid January. Would think 10-3 is the floor for the next 13. Time to make hay and separate ourselves from most of the west.

Blow out the Mavs by 30 and Jokic only gets 8 points? Wth? Anyway, it was a great team performance and just what they needed. Even the bench played well. Congrats to all of them.

Nope, which is awesome for us Why is that awesome? He deserves getting paid as much as people he is better than Because it allows this team to stay together whereas if Murray makes an All NBA team you can basically say goodbye to MPJ. I want this core to stay together for as long as possible.

I think it's fitting that, in a game against Markieff Morris, Jokic put up a Draymond statline in a blowout W.

Different roles, different teams, yada yada yada Bruce Brown: 12/4.5/3 on 46/32/80 shooting. Reggie Jackson: 13.5/2/4.5 on 48/41/72 shooting. Just absolutely insane how good he has been. I know he's rough defensively but man...we're paying this guy the MLE. Bruce got 22.5M I still hold out hope brown returns one day. I think he may be my new all time ex nuggets player

Seriously, what is with Jokic's shooting and point production? He is not the same as he has been in scoring as the last couple years. Hopefully, his shooting improves. They definitely need it.

there's nothing wrong with Jokic, other than age.
this is something I tried to impart on my NT brethren back when Joker had to carry the Facus and Bartons to the playoffs, we can't depend to ride Jokic like a rented mule as hits the big 3-0 and beyond. as he was already dealing with negative speed/athleticism, he will need to expend more energy to maintain the level of play we're accustomed to. he's not LeBron, you can argue he's the opposite (physically).

Another clownish take. Jokic isn’t even 30 yet, and everyone knows he has the type of game that will age well. He doesn’t depend on athleticism. It’s mainly skill. This is a guy who played 65 minutes in a playoff game. He will have plenty left in his tank and age the way Andre Miller did as the 7-foot version of Dre. Available to play every night and as productive at 40 as he will be at 30….if he chooses to play that long, which is the real concern. His love of Serbia and horses probably means he retires from NBA before age 35.

I'm not saying his game "won't age well", I'm saying you can count on one hand the number of players in NBA history that had to shoulder Jokic's workload (Andre Miller sure as f**k aint one of them) and the Nuggets can't depend on Jokic to lead the Nuggets in all major statistical categories for all 82 games + the playoffs when he's in his 30s. what little athleticism and speed he has is going to diminish, and he's going to have to work harder to compensate for that.
to argue against that is to argue against physics and human biology. the Nuggets will have to transition away from an injury prone, top heavy team and focus on depth and load management if they want to continue to contend with Jokic past the next 2 years.
