Yeah, I thought it was bizarre and unnecessary, but who knows what the larger story is with that. I think in the grand scheme, both of those guys handle themselves well given their talent. It's everybody else who sucks. Jokic going out of his way to give Nurk a shoutout and Nurk just trolls the Nuggets back. It's just funny too because it was a very clear push off. Refs did a good job not calling it because Murray did the exact same thing the play before. But there was nothing Craig could do there. He got pushed a few feet back and that's how CJ created space. Just felt like an unneeded jab but I'm still a big fan. Nurk/Kanter can f**k off though. Same with Seth Curry. Makes me want to puke but I'll be rooting hard for Golden State this series.

Well not only did Tim trade Nurk and a 1st for our worst playoff rotation player, he also overpaid him while he had 0 market. The Lydon pick/trade. The Barton contract was a bit of an overpay. I've just been saying for a while I'd really like a GM here that has a killer instinct and isn't friendly with every player, every team, every GM, etc. When you're nice you get taken advantage of. That's what Plumlees agent did to Tim. Guy deserves a mega raise. 14M for an unplayable backup C lol. Guy had 2 good months in a Nuggets jersey I'm as fed up with Plumlee as anybody and I'm very much looking forward to having that contract over. But from all reports, there was an under the table deal with Plumlee at the time of the trade because he was being moved from a starting spot to backing up Jokic and the team needed him to accept that and not create any chemistry problems after the mess with Nurkic that was probably very difficult for Jokic. The contract looks terrible in hindsight, but I understand the concern about having good team chemistry and culture on a very young team featuring a small town Serbian who wasn't comfortable in the NBA culture at the time. Its worked out pretty well in terms of Jokic's development into a major star and that alone is more important than just about everything else (the 76ers tanked hard for 5 years to get 0 players equal to Jokic). The "killer instinct" stuff is kinda silly. Nobody around the league -- FO execs, agents, anyone -- wants to deal with Pelinka because he's an ass. Is that helping the Lakers? There is competent and incompetent. If you are competent, you may as well be decent as well. As far as "aggressive" goes, a lot of that is up to ownership, not Tim Connelly, and with the Nuggets Josh Kroenke plays a big part in major decisions (which may be part of why Connelly may be interested in the Wizards job).
