Whatever happened to the Chauncey Billups that played PG for the nuggets vs the mavericks? You know the one that would drive to the basket then finish / dish out for an open jumper almost every possession?
We now have a JR Smith version of CB who is making poor shot selections and even worse passing. The thing is, he had better PG's playing against him in Paul and Kidd. But now is getting shown up with the likes of Fisher, Brown and Farmar.
We need CB to play and LEAD especially if Melo is a funk like he was in the 2nd half tonight, and as we all know he's prone to do from time to time. We live and die by CB.

I'm not really bitching at any player tonight. I think the whole team shot horribly. Like I said, many of the looks were good looks. The one bad LK play that sticks out in my mind was in the 1st or early 2nd quarter when he got an offensive rebound and decided to take a tough turnaround fadeaway jumper from the baseline. But I do have a serious problem with throwing away opportunities to win at the end of Game 1 and Game 3. Game 3 falls less squarely on GK but something is just not right with this team... they are playing tight, playing too nervous. Maybe somebody should remind them that they are the underdogs and they should play with nothing to lose, rather than playing as if every mistake was going to cost them the series (even if that's kind of true haha). Just play and quit pressing so hard or thinking it's going to be easy by launching "daggers" with tiny leads. LK played and went 2-6. Had he left him in, you'd be bitching about him being in. The team was horrendous, a coach can't always overcome poor play by his players. I love how gets no credit when we win, but all the blame when we lose. We don't win because of him and we don't lose because of him.

I cooled off. I'm not mad anymore. The Lakers are better than us. We can say this, that, and the 3rd, but we lost because LA executes down the stretch and we don't. Thats what it comes down to. Talk about missing open 3s, but we still had a chance. Our team isn't smart enough to execute down the stretch. If you recall, we won game 2 because a bad decision by Billups ended up in Nene's hands. LA missed a lot of freethrows tonight and still beat us.

I read on spurstalk.com that Melo had 0 FGs in the 2nd half, is that true??
How could this be, why doesn't he post up like he had in the 1st 2 games?!? He could easily back down anyone the flakers put on him even Kobe!!

Can't believe we lost this game. This team choked so many times in the second half. If we lose Game 4, I'm not going to watch Game 5.

Bounce pass, 2nd time we tried to throw over the defender. Stupid ass mistake We cant win (if EVERYBODY continues to show up). J.R gotta step it up, Chauncey, Martin disappeared, and so did Nene with his fouls Bird can't guard Gasol, stop putting him on him. STOP doing it Karl. Stop playing AC more than Kleiza, when Kleiza spreads out the floor Karl. Billups stop taking UNNECESSARY 3'S. J.R the same thing. MARTIN LEARN TO CATCH THE BALL fixed

I will tell you this. If Melo gets only 4 shots in the second half of a playoff game (and we dont have a 58 point lead) Then we will probably lose the game PERIOD......
I put the lose on the ball handlers (Billups/JR/AC) for not getting Melo the ball in a better position to score. That is there job to get the big man going.
I dont give a s**t if you guys call me a Melo homer or whatever but when your best player only has 4 shots in the second half then guess what you are going to lose.

And he's a little beat up and not particularly explosive inside right now. How many throw downs does he have in this series? Deal with things as they are, not as we wished them to be.

Dear Nugget fans, I am truly sorry about loss tonight. My sincerest apologies that the league is fixed to have a rapist in the Finals, David Stern Fixed it.

I could care less bout Melo!! I'm jus sayin that from what I've seen this in this series he's stronger than the defenders they throw at him!! Him tryin to dribble through or around defenders ! If they lose tomorrow, pack your fisshing pole!

Carmelo has been effective in the paint. If not by posting up, its by an offensive rebound. Last game, he was on the perimeter to much. Carmelo can win these games and he will.

He tries to dribble around and through defenders!!! He really needs to use that post up, hes alot stronger than any defender LA has for'em, game alil more & be around the paint, not perimeter!!!

one of two things will happen:
- Chauncey is out of gas, Lakers in 5
- Chauncey just had an off night, series comes down to game 7

"I was amazed ¡X J.R. had a bad stat game but a great floor game," Denver coach George Karl said. WOW.. I really don't understand this. JR has struggled playing within our offense. Despite his "injury", he insists on dribbling profusely and forcing shots/drives. Outside of coming off screens and drilling the resulting wide open jumpshot, he has been a hindrance offensively. His second quarter of Game 1 speaks for itself. His FT% is miserable. In Game 2 we were up by two points in the closing two minutes of the game with the possibility of increasing the lead to four points, and JR turned the ball over while attempting to make a pass to Melo on the drive. It seems like no one paid attention to this constly turnover, especially considering Kobe drilled a dagger over Nene on the other end that tied the game. I might be putting too much emphasis on one mistake, as most of you posters will be quick to point out; however, it's clearly evident that JR has been ineffective as a "creator" and has only helped the team when he is being fed good looks. I'm hoping he can turn it around in Denver. bundo FTW jr FTL
