Tebow better start in week 2. Orton is atrocious and the Broncos offense is a joke with him at the helm.

Lol @ losing again to a pathetic franchise like the Raiders.

It is pretty funny how bad Mcfaddennowned the Broncos again, especially after all the talk from the D saying it won't happen.

Only 1 game and it was enough to see that Orton doesn't deserve a chance again

So Orton sucks...and you want someone infinitely worse to replace him? #broncofanlogic

This season will be a waste anyway, so why not develop Tebow? The broncos have 2 options

1. Let Orton start most games or all season, miss the playoffs and let Orton walk, then start Tebow next year and essentially start from scratch again

Or

2. Bench Orton or trade him for anything, start Tebow now, miss the playoff and build for next years playoff run.

Playoff run? At no point with Tebow as your starting QB are you going to even sniff the playoffs.

I will give you another option though...

3. Start Tebow, lose every single game because of it, get the #1 pick, and draft Andrew Luck.

Now if you want to go with that plan, I could understand.

God > Gisele. Therefore Tebow > Brady [image]

Maybe Billyps can come back to Denver and QB for the Broncs. Anything has to better than watching the blank look in Orton's eyes when he has the ball in his hands.

Today the dude didn't even look like he belonged in the league

I'd go with Tebow. He sucks, but he lays it all out there. I'm tired of watching orton get sacked in the redzone when he's got a great pocket and all kinds of time to make a decision. Good redzone qb's make quicker decisions and buy themselves time. When the primary pattern breaks down, get out of the pocket and either make a play with your feet or stay alive long enough for something to break down in coverage.

He just stands and stands, waiting for someone to get open and instead of buying himself time, he slides right into the pass rush. That sack Seymour got is the perfect example of this. It's frustrating to watch.

That said, it's yet another game the broncos lost and everyone will just point the finger at orton when the game really was lost in the trenches. The broncos got trampled. You can't run for 30 yards and give up 200 and still expect a good outcome. Judging by this game, the broncos have a long way to go to get to what fox and elway seemed to envision with a hard nosed, smash mouth kind of offense. All that talk about being a run first team sure flew out the window in a hurry.

to be fair, the raiders d-line is arguably the best in football. and denver's play-calling was pretty vanilla.

Only in Denver would so much hype come over a dude that most teams wouldnt have even drafted. (Well atleast not to play QB)

Part of me cant wait til they actually do start Tebow, just so all these loud mouth idiots can see how shitty this dude really is at this level. s**t maybe everyone can show up a couple hours before game time every Sunday and he can preach a sermen too. And I really hope these people talking about spending thousands of dollars on a billboard that says "Start Tim Tebow" actually do it, I cant think of a better way to spend your money in such a shitty economy.

They could always just give it to the church. Because then it'd go to buy a stained glass window with Tebow's face on it, instead of a billboard.

I can't believe those retards. Orton might blow, but that's just all the more damning for Quinn and Tebow. Real bronco fans are gonna have to suck it up and realize this will be a long rebuilding process.

It ain't like the team is real high on Orton, but they have to work with the crap they have.

I don't know or care if Quinn or Tebow are any good.

What I do know is that, by about 3 minutes into the game, I was already pissed about Orton's decision making. I felt like we had no chance by the second drive of the game. (It didn't help that Moreno was getting eaten up by the D-line, or that the Raiders RB could reliably convert third-and-long situations.)

Orton is so anti-clutch he makes Lebron James look like Michael Jordan. Though as a 9ers fan I don't pitty the Broncos' QB situation one bit.

Can't we get rid of this moron? Also, fox's decision making is no better than McDaniels

Useless qb and useless coach

Orton is, quite obviously, the answer at QB. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a retarded stupidhead of mass dumbnessosity. His career passer rating is almost as good as John Elway, so of course this means he's definitely good and the right answer for this team.

I don't know anybody who has ever claimed he is the 'answer' for that team. The only argument I've heard is that he is simply the lesser of three evils. Now if you want to say that you already know what you have in Orton, so you might as well give the younger scrub a chance to show that he can't play in an already lost season, I'd understand that. But anyone who is trying to convince themselves that anything will ever be better for the Broncos with Tebow starting instead....quit kidding yourself.

Exactly. We know what Orton is, and that's "mediocre". Tebow appears to be marginally worse -- but if it's a lost season, we may as well at least see if the guy can become marginally better with PT. If he's not, then at least we'll suck our way into a better shot at Andrew Luck or whoever the next hot QB commodity is.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't see the upside of playing Orton.

Because there are two other mediocre guys on the team who play the same position who could be gaining valuable experience for the future.

I expect the Broncos to win 4-6 games, regardless of which QB they suit up. So why not win 4-6 games while letting Tebow or Quinn get some game experience? Why not get some picks for Orton, thereby having a few more chances to draft some guys who don't suck at some of the other positions out there on the field?

We all know it would be a terrible idea to field a perennially mediocre Nuggets team that wins 35-45 games per year and misses the playoffs or gets bounced in the first round; if we're gonna be in that spot, I think most of us would rather trade anybody with any value at all for future picks and young guys with potential. When it comes to the Broncos, we're definitely in that "missing the playoffs" spot, so why not trade some mediocre vets for mediocre picks, give some young guys some reps, and actually rebuild sensibly?
