I agree about them not being one of the most brilliant teams. Lots of talent, almost all the right pieces, they cant keep a lesson learned for more than one game. Thats the difference between us and the Lakers, each game they adjusted, adapted and evolved. The Nuggets were no more clear about what to do in game 6 than they were in game 1. But I do feel that they have almost all the right pieces. I think their biggest need is for a major big with decent inside shooting ability. I wouldnt be surprised to see the Nuggets trade Nene and Hunter next year to land someone with serious height. I really think someone like Brad Miller would have helped. It really is a shame that we didnt get McDyess because his inside scoring would have really helped.
All in all a very satisfactory year. I do think that if the players can learn a few lessons and make a few adjustments they have a chance to be back next year. I really wish that JR could channel his energy and talent into becoming a good point. I know it sounds dumb but he has all the tools to be good at it if he really had a vision for it.

My thought about the finals is that the Lakers are much stronger than Cleveland, but interestingly don't match up well with the outside shooting of Orlando. This puts a lot more strain on Bryant as he would need to consistently cover work on both sides of the court which I wouldn't doubt limits him to mid to high 20s a game. Denver's inside game was exactly the type of team that LA was designed to beat. I was really chomping at the bit to see Denver play Cleveland, as I really think Denver matches up with Cleveland very well. I also feel that Denver could play effective smallball against Orlando and match them point for point. Oh well. I see LA take Cleveland in 5 and taking Orlando in 6. All in all thanks Nuggets for making this a very fun year, and a fun anticipation for the next.

Good series. Obviously it ended with a blow out, but those first Laker wins could have possibly been Nuggets wins if Lakers weren't able to take over at the end of those games. Obviously it helps to have Kobe, but also the experience of being there before. Nuggets will definitely be a factor next season not sure how much as they have FA's to take care of. Anderson is probably gonna get paid it will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay to keep him I would assume he would stay if Nuggets offer him the same money the highest bidder does.
To the guy who said it will be Nuggets and Blazers in the west from here on out. Lakers aren't exactly ancient lol. Lakers have many years of being contenders with this current team. Ariza will be resigned whether Lamar is well see but Lakers brass have said they would pay to keep the team intact. And the Blazers just plain have more talent then the Nuggets so there future is pretty bright if they can keep their main players after their rookie contracts are done they are gonna have to pay a lot of money soon, but their owner has a crap load of money so they probably can.

Miller is old and sucks, while Nene is going to be an all star next year

I didn't say get Brad Miller, I said they need someone like a Brad Miller- who averages a double double a night The fact is that they don't have a true center, and cant match the Lakers who have two good ones - Pau and Bynum. Nene is great, but looking at the contract situation, i really feel that he's the only useful asset they have to get someone in who could fill that hole. Or someone like David Lee, who's also a big body who can match any big and can score a bit.

while Nene is going to be an all star next year I think Nene has become a bit overrated. He has a lot of potential but to me is to mentally weak, but i hope/think he will learn of this experience. I wish Nene would have been our 2nd option, but his is thrown of his game by the other team way to often and way to easy.

There are no true centers available right now. And we're not going to move Nene. The best thing we can hope for is a veteran, but I agree that a double - double machine would be awesome

Marcus Camby, if we can get him for a good price. I know it will never happen but it could work.

Nene just played his first full season as our number 1 big, and that was after years of weight problems/cancer/injuries etc. Give him another healthy summer under the belt, and he will continiue to improve.

The Nuggets are in the early stages of building a championship caliber team. After the Lakers lose the NBA Finals this year, the Nuggets and Blazers are the new powers in the West. Kobe and the Lakers honeymoon will crash in the Finals. Not sure I agree with that. The window is always closing and we have two aging starters in KMart and Billups and a questionable center in None. Also remains in my mind to be seen if Melo with his low BB IQ and lack of D, can carry a team to a championship.

Marcus Camby, if we can get him for a good price. I know it will never happen but it could work. then we can all get used to "first shot of the game goes to Marcus from 19 feet out no matter what" again. Just to keep him happy.

I just want Nene to work on doing DUNK drills during the off season. I swear we missed allot of points by him trying to layup under the basket rather than him dunking.

Coach Karl Quote:
" "No. 24 had a great five minutes at the end of the (first half) that no one in basketball could have covered him. He made about four shots in that stretch that I think Jesus would have had trouble covering."
LOL, Jesus!

I would be opposed to Camby because he is another one of Karl's pets and has selfish tendencies that GK will not be willing to control.
Karl needs to learn to appreciate good players and not intangibles that are useless on the basketball court.
I don't see us going anywhere with GK as coach anyhow, unless we just have overwhelming talent. I know we have a rep. as a low BB IQ team, but is that all on the players? Doesn't the coach eventually have to take some responsibility?

You guys are such whiney little b*****es. Just accept the defeat. Lakers will not get crushed in the finals, no matter who makes it from the east. Your nuggets team is talented, but they are a dumb team. Dumb fouls, dumb turnovers, dumb shots. That's why they lost. Dumb poster. Thats why you'll get banned. this is fun. knocking these trolls out one by one.

Ummm, I'll give you a pass on the 92 Dream Team thing under the assumption that you're using hyperbole to make a point. But... given the defense we were playing, their offense was incrediblty lame.
