i love dre, but no way he'd come back when he can start for most teams, and him as pg and cb as sg is just stupid. Honestly the Lakers wont be able to pay both Odom and Ariza, give Ariza a little cash and he's our starting SG, as good defensively as DJ and a huge upgrade offensively and we have a huge backcourt. in my opinion thats realistically our best shot at a title, all these lets get guys making $10 mil a year isn't happening.

I'm more scared about Game 6 than Game 5... anybody feels the same? I feel like we'll take care of business in LA... but up 3-2 I'm not sure if the team can close out...

On vacation, haven't read board in a week. Can anyone answer this: Can Melo's T in Game 4 be rescinded? It looked like the refs thought it was him taunting, when ht ewas just him patting Kobe on the chest for making a good play. KMart deserved his T (it was a b***h move on his part), but Melo absolutely didn't deserve it. One more and he's suspended.

They called a T for him pushing after the play, not because they thought it was taunting.

I really saw nothing that he did that deserved a T, he didn't exactly push anyone, do anything, or talk smack. These refs are delusional although they gave us 49 free throws.

I'd make melo put the ball in his right hand...cause his jab into shot is unstoppable and his dribble hesi with the left is too!!!
Thats from Iggy.

The Nuggets need to taste the possibility of a ring, because if they continue with the drive and determination they showed last night, they can beat anyone. If not tomorrow, then in game 6 and 7. The lakers know Denver's the better team, not necessarily the smarter team, but the better team. If the Nuggets stop pretending they've already arrived, and play with the fierceness and hunger of it being their last chance to play for the year, then they're dang near unbeatable.

I can finally see it. If you were to build a team to beat LA, you would structure it around the backcourt. Stock up on solid sharpshooters, killers at the 3, and solid backcourt defenders, because not only is LAs defense softer there, but it also forces Kobe to play both sides of the ball, which lowers his effectiveness on offense. Interestingly, Denver is structured to play directly into LAs team strength which is in challenging their front court - and they're doing it effectively. The only difference has been that it allows Kobe to focus more on the offensive end, where he is really pounding the Nuggets. It does demonstrate what a difference-maker Kobe is, but also shows that Denver really can match the Lakers at their best. This is really a fascinating dynamic because we will see whether 1 man can beat a team that is otherwise playing better than the other team. The other X factor is whether a team playing good can beat a smart because Denver is clearly playing better than LA, but LA is a smarter team. If I have to place bets, I put my money on the team over the individual, though the issue of smart versus good has been a draw to this point. Hopefully Denver can incorporate a bit more intelligence into their last two games and they're good to go!

seriously, the word has been used perhaps 10 times this year in any practical discussion. It'll probably be omitted from Oxford's in the next 10 years. I suspect it is only invoked today by those engaged in esoteric, pedantic intercourse.

They can shoot, but they aren't as deep or tough as we are.
