IF the league was rigged, it would be far too great a risk to have the opponent lead like that relatively late in the game. Please, Ruru, stop being so literal. What happened tonight was the same thing that happened last night at Cavs X Magic. The only difference is that the Magic won despite of the bad calls. So, sure, we could have won too if we played better, but that's not the point - the point is: do you really think we lost FAIRLY?

I really don't see how you guys can say we were robbed by the refs. Even Karl said it: "I don't know that we played well enough to win on the road."

I really don't see how you guys can say we were robbed by the refs. There are only three options there. The refs helped the lakers, the refs helped us, or the refs didn't help anyone. Which one do you think is true?

I wouldn't put it entirely on billups, although he did get himself in trouble and had to pass out. No one else from the Nuggets saw he was in trouble, and helped him out by moving and creating an option for him to pass to. It almost looked as if he was anticipating the Nugget (I cant remember who it was either time) standing 5 feet behind the 3 point line, to cut towards the rim, but they never did. Off of memeory, before I go back and look at it, Billups decided to hold, dribble, pass late when the the ovbious play was the swing to either Melo or Smith. yeah, and I'm not saying its not Billups fault, he clearly made the wrong play. I was just pointing out that when he get himself in that position of trouble, perhaps maybe someone else should come help bail him out

As a Lakers fan, I saw lakers received some home cooking calls. As nuggets got in game 4. But bigger problem of Denver was lost your aggression in 4th Q and quick J-shots rather than drive. Why didn't you keep feed Melo when team was struggle? At least Ref called on Lakers when Melo drive. We couldn't drive. We couldn't be aggressive. Anytime we tried the refs called a foul. The reason we b***h about calls is when it's in the fourth and we're getting s**t calls on us left and right, we lose our ability to be aggressive because we don't know what is allowed and what isn't. It's not consistent. This whole postseason has been this way. The refs have been horrible all postseason, and it's starting to piss me off.

Look, there were numerous Kobe drives and other around the paint plays that we were unable to convert that would have changed the game our way. AS Denver fans of any sport, we are above blaming officials or blaming conspiracies that are far-fetched abstractions. We need to take pride in not stooping to the level of other fanbases.

You guys just don't realize how important Nene is to our team. Game 4, Melo does little and Nene plays big and we win. Game 5, Melo plays well and Nene spends the game on the bench and we lose. These things are not coincidence.
Nene is incredibly underrated in terms of winning basketball. Not sportscenter or NBA marketing, but winning basketball.
Bad calls -- hosing our team -- played a huge impact on this game.

When nobody was really on EXCEPT LK in the 4th when he drops 7 points in a couple minutes, we do what we usually do and ignore him. What? We needed his offense and he was ready to go off. Instead, Melo is forcing shots on 2 or 3 guys and NOT EVEN GETTING THE BALL TO THE RIM and Chauncey is forcing passes to guys that he can barely get the ball to when LK is standing wide open! I don't care if I'm a homer- in this case I'm right.
And LK could be droppin 12-14 per in 20 minutes versus these guys with a few touches (a couple threes and a couple layups to start with)... but when he does hit a trey he may not see a ball for another 5 minutes.

Those three options are always going to be there. I don't think you can find one game where fans of both sides agree that the game was properly reffed.
I've seen some calls that have really pissed me off, but tonight, even though I felt that the calls went more in the Lakers' favor, I don't think it cost us the game. I think the refs hindered a possible comeback attempt, but that's on us for giving away a hard-earned lead. If the refs found ways to assist a Laker comeback with favorable calls, I think I'd be angry, but as is, it's just another game where we played just well enough to lose in a heartbreaking fashion.
I just wish the Nuggets would stop teasing and actually run with the momentum once they have it. A less nice way to say it would be "I wish the Nuggets would stop choking away leads late in the game."

But the guy's paranoia is starting to become a realized prophecy. HE is very important. But championship teams are unfazed by such things. We simply lack the championship mettle at this point. That shouldn;t be surprising. But, what we call all take pride in is that we are the better team. And we have a real chance with this core to be at this point numerous times down the line. And I still think we can win this series.

I agree about Nene. He's very important to our team, but he lost his composure at a very critical time and just added to the momentum of the Lakers. Yeah, he was hosed, but we still had a chance to win. I remember we got several stops and even stripped Kobe (isn't he the one who's protected by the refs?) of the ball a few times on drives but couldn't get ANY offense going at all.

Are you watching Kleiza on the defensive end? HE IS A DISASTER. A JOKE. Look when we had him in and were clawing back he's on Kobe and kobe has the ball. What does he do? He goes over to Derek Fisher who Melo is on leaving one of the best players in basketball history wide open, not even in the way of a passing lane. He's able to pass it from the three to under the hoop for an easy layup. Melo is cussing him as he has to run and try and get to Kobe in time. I BEG YOU, PLEASE watch LK everytime down the defensive court and see just how bad it is, i wouldnt say he's the worst defender on our team, i'd say he might be in the NBA.

I find it funny, ya comments is always on L.K. But I agree, and have been saying since we won Game 2 on the road. Stop playing two bigs, when they're playing one. Keep one big in and bring in L.K. It keeps everybody focused on shooters so Carmelo can work one on one We did that in the 4th and was coming back hard. We have to do that midway in the 3rd, and in the 4th. We have the lead, and thats why we give it up We can live with Kleiza being a liability on defense. A.C GUARDS KOBE, AND GASOL BEEN RIPPING BIRD

AS Denver fans of any sport, we are above blaming officials or blaming conspiracies that are far-fetched abstractions. We need to take pride in not stooping to the level of other fanbases. Stop beating around the bush and answer my question: do you really think we lost this game FAIRLY? And stop distorting my posts as well. I already said it's not a matter of complaining about a couple of bad calls - it's a matter of quite a few bad calls. Do you think complaining about the calls in this game is the same as complaining about the calls the other fans were complaining about? Do you think the Nuggets got against the other teams even close to the friendly whistling that the Lakers got tonight? Give me a break. Just in the first quarter I counted some 6 or 8 points swing on the score DIRECTLY due the the bad calls, and that when we were playing well. Again, there's no way we can keep up with the Lakers in that scenario unless we play a close to PERFECT game, and maybe thats putting a little to high a burden on our players backs. We could have won despite the bad calls if we played better. But we could at least as much have won plaing exactly like we played if we got fair calls.
