omg, have you watched Knicks game? if you have, and you are saying he was really good, I guess you are correct. there is really nothing more to be said. I'm only talking about the offensive side of the ball. Murray, like the rest of the team was terrible and gave no effort defensively against the Knicks. Jokics defense last night was pretty bad. Do I bring that up? No. It's not really relevant. The Nuggets have a team defense issue right now. It's not just one or two guys. The effort isn't there and that recognition isn't there. Guys are constantly recognizing rotations late. Guys like Watson can get away with it because of his length. Guys like Murray can't. If Murray is bad on offense the Nuggets can't win a Championship. If he's bad on defense they can.

I will agree he's moved better the last two games, which has resulted in more production but his defenders has been proud still, though Utah game was better than NYK, but it was a horrible Utah team that leads the league in turnovers. Jamals last 2 games below:
20/4/7 with 0 turnovers. 22/4/8 with 1 turnover.
If we're not considering that really good I'm not really sure what we're doing anymore. He shot 16-31 in those games so >50% and he put those numbers up with just 2-11 from 3. So 14-20 from 2. AKA 70%. He has looked much more like his normal self lately. Moving around much better. It's a step in the right direction and that is extremely important right now.

thats kind of every single player since Malone took over.
and it is to Malone's credit that he has 6 consecutive playoff appearance with bottom 5 benches in NBA and he also won a title. thats really something. coaching your first team so good, that once you took one or multiple players from that starting lineup, everything fells apart, and you still winning games? thats something. for example, since 2018, Nuggets are 10-16 without Nikola Jokic in their lineup. they are 305-168 overall. simply incredible job by winningest coach in Nuggets history. every time you break starting lineup, team fells apart. every time starters play, team is best in NBA. and since we know starters have changed during this period, only common denominator is Michael Malone

I know everyone likes Russ’ energy and hustle, and he (like most every player ever) plays decent alongside Jok…but going 3-9 with a 5:3 TO:ast is not what I’d consider ‘awesome’.

22/8/4 for Jamal. 2 really good games in a row. 22 points, against Jazz. is that really "really good"? it was OK game. and as soon as he did something Nuggets just destroyed Jazz... if Jamal plays good, Nuggets are good team. if he up his game, which is something we all hoping for, Nuggets are 2023 playoff Nuggets. that equation hasn't really changed despite losing Brown and KCP. most worrisome thought is Nuggets are good team with Russ instead of Jamal. not Championship team, but good team. and if cant play up to level of 36 yrs old Russell Westbrook, then just retire. I really never put everything on one player, and I defended Jamal here... but I've been through some games this season in past few days, and he is not only most obvious reason Nuggets aren't good, he is by far biggest problem Nuggets have now. he is slowing down the offense, he is having the ball most of the time, and drives just aren't there. his defense has been, hands down, Jordan Poole's level. even worse at moments. so no, he hasn't been really good two games in the row. he is showing signs of life is biggest I could give him. 100% agree

Which led to this "not since Wilt" stat: x.com/RealStatzman/status/1729382037377691754Reggie Jackson is the only NBA player besides Wilt to have 35+ points, 13+ assists, 5+ rebounds on 78%+ FG. Wilt did it 3 times and then 55 years later @reggie_Jackson did it at the Clippers.

Good win but it's the Jazz. We'll learn a lot about this team in their next 2. It's the Jazz mate! If we didn't win this given they were shorthanded, this place would burn down. It's clear we still don't have a reliable bench and until that's fixed, we're cooked! Jokic will be burnt to a crisp come playoff time and it's last season all over again at best. Calvin needs to make a move.
